Silence is optional. The retreat is a quiet space and Quiet Mind Mountain Lodge and Retreat encourages all their guests to maintain quietude. They recommend that those who participate in the retreat, do so while following the 6-part mindfulness course and it’s best to maintain solitude and silence while learning the mindfulness practices.
