Day 1: Hanoi arrival
Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to the exit gate and look for your driver, who will be waiting in the lobby, holding the signboard with your name on it, if you cannot locate your driver, please go to the Airport information counter situated in the middle of Domestic and International arrival lobby (inside the terminal) and call the emergency numbers provided in the confirmation voucher for assistance. Your driver will come to meet you up and transfer you to the hotel for check-in and have some rest. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi – Thac Ba Lake
Meet your guide at the hotel and receive a short briefing about the itinerary, safety rules, and practical information about cycling in Vietnam. After about 2 hour drive, the van will drop us off in Viet Tri, a captivating city in Phu Tho province of Vietnam, seamlessly blending ancient traditions with modern aspirations, along with its rich historical heritage and vibrant cultural tapestry. You begin your cycling adventure from this Fascinating city. In general, the road is easy and mostly sealed. Tonight, you will spend the night at a local house of the Dao people. Overnight at Thac Ba Lake.

Day 3: Thac Ba Lake – Chiem Hoa
After breakfast, you say goodbye to your host and cycle to Chiem Hoa through Tuyen Quang, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Nestled amidst lush mountains and serene landscapes, Chiem Hoa offers an enchanting blend of traditional charm and captivating vistas, making it the perfect place for the authentic Vietnamese experience.
In general, the road is sealed until Ham Yen - a beautiful destination that seamlessly blends natural beauty with cultural richness. However, the last part from Ham Yen to Chiem Hoa is wild and a little bumpy. You will be lodged in a Tay village, lost in the middle of the primitive forest. Overnight in Tay Village.

Day 4: Chiem Hoa – Ba Be National Park
Today you will follow a small road, that goes along the Song Gam River for about 20km, then you turn right and keep cycling on the small road until you make a stop for lunch. Then you will get back to the main road and cycle to Cho Don, a small town in Bac Kan province. National Road #254 is not very busy with traffic but part of the road is under maintenance. Either you keep cycling till Pac Ngoi - a charming village that harmoniously weaves cultural traditions with stunning natural surroundings or get on the van for an hour transfer. Overnight at Ba Be National Park.

Day 5: Ba Be National Park – Tinh Tuc – Cao Bang
After breakfast, a short transfer will take you to your start point at Ha Hieu which embodies the cultural richness and natural splendor of Bac Kan Province in Vietnam. From here, you will cycle on dirt and paved roads to Tinh Tuc, which enchants travelers with its picturesque landscapes. You will pause there for lunch. There are two hills to conquer today, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, but both are gradual with no steep gradients. You cycle until you reach Cao Bang City, then get in the van to transfer to your hotel. Overnight in Cao Bang.

Day 6: Cao Bang – Ban Gioc Waterfall
After breakfast, you started your ride from the hotel. The first section is quite flat as you are leaving the city, and it becomes tough when you reach the pass. Admire stunning sightseeing, and rice paddy fields as you ride along the border belt. The final section is easier and it offers spectacular mountain views. Overnight in Ban Gioc.

Day 7: Ban Gioc – Quang Hoa – Mau Son
After breakfast, you will visit Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of Vietnam’s most impressive natural sights. It boasts an impressive natural sight with multiple levels and green jade water. Then bike from Quang Hoa to Lang Son on the scenic Highway 4. Then continue cycling toward Mau Son. Mau Son is 30 km away from Lang Son, 1.541m above sea level. It is quite cool in the evenings there! Night in the guesthouse of Mau Son Resort (basic accommodation). In case you want better hotel rooms, you could take the van to Lang Son City. Overnight in Mau Son.

Day 8: Mau Son – Hanoi
Promenade around Mau Son in the morning. Then cycle down to Lang Son to have lunch. In the afternoon, they will transfer you back to Hanoi. The drive will take about 3 hours.
