Are you an active person yearning to leave stress and deadlines behind to find peace and tranquility in one of the most beautiful and remote parks in America? Then this retreat is perfect for you! You will find a deep sense of relaxation and develop lasting friendships with fun and like-hearted people as you explore the wilderness on this active adventure in Death Valley. You will marvel at the changing landscape from the hot valley floor to the cool breezes in the higher elevations as you journey through the rugged backcountry clothed in the colors of spring bloom. This is exactly where you were meant to be.
You’ll be struck by the beauty of the Oasis at Furnace Creek. This historic area features two of Death Valley’s historic lodging properties. Opening in 1933 and recently renovated, the Ranch area includes the world's lowest elevation golf course, an 87-degree spring-fed swimming pool, horse stables, and much more.
You will love the outdoor garden where you will be practicing yoga each day while gazing over the Oasis and Funeral Mountains. You will gladly make time to relax and soak in the sights and sounds of nature while filling your lungs with clean desert air! The restaurants, shops, and even the park office are all located nearby for you to enjoy as you stroll about the beautiful grounds filled with old, mature trees.
You will enjoy the beauty of the grounds right outside your window as you relax and unwind in your comfortable room. Each room features a private patio or balcony, two queen beds or one king bed, a private bathroom, a mini refrigerator, and other amenities. There are a limited number of king rooms at this property, so if you are interested in a king room either for single or double occupancy, please let Red Diamond know at the time of booking, and they will do their best to secure that configuration while supplies last.
For the shared room, Red Diamond will match you with a same-gender roommate who is also traveling solo. In the unlikely event they are unable to find a match, you will not be charged a single occupancy surcharge.
%The rooms feature either a king bed or two queen-sized beds and a private bathroom. For couples wishing to have a king room, please note that on the reservation form so Red Diamond can accommodate.
Imagine standing strong in mountain pose, your lungs filled with the cool, refreshing morning air, and your chin lifting toward the mountains. Your gaze softens as the sun breaks above the peaks, bathing your body in the warmth of the first light and filling your soul with joy. Your arms rise to touch the sky and leave the world behind with a deep exhale and lose yourself in this vast and beautiful place.
With a deep sense of awe, your heart begins to understand the subtle beauty of this vast and seemingly desolate space. You smile as peaceful stillness creeps across your mind, matching the quietness of the desert with perfect synchronicity.
On this retreat, you will journey far from the frenetic pace of the modern world to bathe in the power and beauty of the desert. Your senses come alive as you walk among wildflowers in full bloom, through multi-hued canyons, and along ridge lines with breathtaking views. Discover creative inspiration in quiet and expansive sunsets, painting the sky in majestic colors before giving way to darkness so completely you gaze into countless stars and the clouds of the Milky Way. You’ll come home feeling energized and ready to take on whatever comes your way!
For six days there will be little or no access to cell service or Wi-Fi most of the time. You’ll truly unplug and be fully present in each glorious experience without any interruption or thought of doing something else. Each morning your yoga and meditation will gently set the day in motion as you spend little effort to find joy in each new adventure.
You’ll sleep deeply after grounding each evening with the stillness of the stars and a meditative yin practice. Afternoons offer time to enjoy the desert, the hotel grounds, or optional spa services to give yourself the gift of full rest.
On this active adventure, you are going to experience some of the most exciting places in Death Valley on foot, horseback, and Jeeps. You’ll meet at the Las Vegas International Airport by noon to head out for Death Valley. You’ll arrive at Furnace Creek, where you’ll check into your amazing room and get settled in. You will gather late in the afternoon for a short yoga practice to stretch out from the day of travel. Then you’ll have dinner to get acquainted and go over the week ahead.
After dinner, you’ll travel to Twentynine Mule Team Canyon, where you will experience a famous dark sky night in Death Valley! As the sun sets, you will enjoy the history of the canyon that was part of the route used to haul Borax out of the valley. But the best part of the night comes when the sun disappears and the sky grows dark, revealing millions of stars, planets, and the cloudy spectacle of the Milky Way!

You will find complete relaxation on the grounds of the ranch at Death Valley. This oasis will serve as your home away from home during your stay with a variety of activities, from a huge swimming pool and spa services to golf or tennis. There are several restaurants, bars, and gift shops to round out your stay and places to relax and enjoy some quiet solitude gazing over the desert to the mountains in the background.
Death Valley is in the middle of nowhere, so the food options are limited to the restaurants within the park. Red Diamond have worked with the hotel and catering to ensure they have vegan and gluten-free options available, but it’s a western park, and so most of the food is geared around that theme.
The breakfasts will feature a wonderfully large buffet-style meal in the hotel’s main restaurant. You will be taking your lunch with you on the excursions, and you will have a menu of options to select from each day. For dinner, the main restaurant also features an amazing buffet with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. On your last night, you will pack a picnic dinner to enjoy on the dunes as you watch the amazing sunset over the mountains.
You will receive meal vouchers for these options, which are included in the trip cost. If you choose to order off the menu or eat at one of the other restaurants, that will require an additional charge not included in the trip. There are other places to grab a snack or food at the saloon, near the pool, at the inn, or the golf course.
Red Diamond will do their best to accommodate dietary restrictions; however, please let them know what those are on the booking form. Because of the remoteness of the area, they need to work well in advance to plan and accommodate your needs.
