Why this tour
The daily stages are between 120 and 150 km long. The degree of difficulty has been tailored to experienced riders. The distances and routes are subject to change based on weather and/or the participants' riding skills. The route includes many bronze and iron level tracks with stays at three different hotels in the mountains.
Duration and itinerary
This trail lasts for 7 days 5 days of riding, The package includes 6 overnight stays including breakfast. There is no rest day during the stages of the trail.
On the first day of riding, you take a round trip in the area around Sibiu to get used of the terrain and the riding in Romania. XPOWER Adventures call this day the "level test" for the selection of the route for the next days.
The second day of the tour takes you away from Sibiu and you will cross the first high mountain ridge overnighting in a beautiful valley where you experience the endless steep uphills and deep forests of the Carpathian Mountains.
On the third day of riding, you ride will ride up to the highest peaks and deepest valleys you have ever seen, a good part of the day we ride over the tree line and will overnight in a perfect mountain lodge. On this day the Short Kings Trail participants will join you.
The fourth day brings you into really untouched regions where you feel at some parts of the trail like you were completely alone and on your own. Real adventure feeling.
The fifth and last day of the trail leads you back to Sibiu where the trail ends.
The Kings Trail is designed for riders with good medium-level skills to enjoy the tour. XPOWER Adventures guarantee that everyone will be happy and tired in the evening.
The daily stages are divided so that you stop for lunch in a local inn and take breaks in between where you can relax and have a snack to rest and refuel your body.
The length of the daily stages depends on the level of the rider's skill and can be around 120 to 150 km long. XPOWER Adventures do provide an alternative route if riders become tired during the ride, either via shortcuts or gravel road routes to the hotel or taking a seat in the support vehicle.
This beautiful adventure will occur as follows:
Kings trail
Day 1
Arrival and overnight in Sibiu.
Day 2
Stage 1 round rip in Sibiu to get used to the terrain.
Day 3
Stage 2 to the Sadu Valley.
Day 4
Stage 3 deep into the Carpathian Mountains crossing the highest ridges.
Day 5
Stage 4 feeling real adventure riding through untouched mountain regions.
Day 6
Stage 5 leaving the deep mountains and back to Sibiu.
Day 7
Departure.
Difficulty level
Your tour guides ensure that your riding level is accommodated during the rides - the difficulty can be medium to partially extreme. Beginners and less-capable riders should not choose this trail although XPOWER Adventures have shortcuts have the option to shorten the distances of the stages and to opt for small parts on gravel or small asphalt roads. They have different routes in place for less experienced and extreme riders.

Motorbikes, fuel, and tire
On this tour, a rental bike, and fuel are included. XPOWER Adventures have KTM and Husqvarna 4-stroke models available. All bikes are the latest models, professionally serviced, and in excellent condition. The bikes come with tires in good condition suitable for the ride with mousses and are equipped with closed rally guards, motor skid plates, and fans.
Motorbike service
On this tour, a professional mechanic services the bikes, with the service car meeting the riders at the lunch point and in the evening (where accessible) to fuel up and perform repairs. A spare bike is available.
Damages in the rental bike
XPOWER Adventures do not charge for normal wear of the bike (like scratches on the plastics). On this tour, insurance (CDW – Crash ‘Damage Waiver) is available which covers damages to the bike.
