This retreat is a combination of yoga and fitness practices, healthy food, accommodation, plus a selection of treatments daily along with float therapy and saunas for the ultimate self-care to help you completely destress. Experience all these at Samahita, a hidden gem, in Koh Samui, Thailand.
Samahita is beyond a hotel, more than a resort. It is a purpose-built retreat center dedicated to your wellbeing, bringing vitality into your body and mind, a place to learn the tools that upgrade your life, and a place to relax and enjoy time at the beach. Regardless of which room you choose, the beach, pool, dining, and practice facilities are seconds away.
“Inhale” Beachfront Rooms are right at the beach with 100m of beachfront, an additional pool, incredible seaviews and morning sunrise views.
“Exhale” Gardenview Rooms are set back behind the beachfront facilities in the garden area.
They have rooms for the single traveler, couples, or friends.
The eco-friendly design includes:
In every room you will find:
The centerpiece practice space, designed and built specifically for yoga sessions but also host to meditation sittings, breathwork practice, learning discussions, and video and slide presentations. It can operate as one whole 150-square-meter space or be divided into two or three smaller spaces.
It carries a special energy from years of dedicated practice on beautifully sustainable bamboo floors, with large open windows keeping it light and airy, opening at one end to the meditation garden and at the other to the pool garden overlooking the beach. It is fully equipped with all types of yoga props as well as inversion swings, TRXs, and rope harnesses.
Many of the daily yoga, meditation, breathwork, and core classes happen here, with over 60 square meters of practice space and the sounds of the ocean from just steps away.
Samahita’s purpose-built, soundproofed, air-conditioned indoor cycle studio is equipped with 21 Schwinn carbon blue top-of-the-range bikes and a mega sound system. Best is the view - right to the beach. For the self-silent-cycle, they open up the doors so the morning breeze flows in.
This loft space functions as open-air or closed-off from the elements. It has a view of the beach, a large mirror on the back wall, dance bars around its perimeter, hard flooring, and solid steel structural beams, perfect for all types of fitness, dance, inversion swing, and yoga classes.
At the beach, next to the pool, exists an extra space private lounging and dining through the day. A perfect beachside yet shaded personal read or workspace.
Another part of your reason to be here is to chill. This lounge is the perfect spot to do nothing, sit and read, or lay back and listen to music. The ideal space to relax and hang with your partner or take time alone. Its open-air quality lets you enjoy the sea breeze, feel the tropics, with a view of the beach.
The two saltwater swimming pools are a stone’s throw from the beach and fully equipped with sun loungers and shaded areas. There is an additional shallow pool for the kids or grown-ups that just want to sit immersed in the water before jumping back into the steam room or taking part in other activities.
The herbal steam room uses a blend of Thai herbs (Samonpi) to add the therapeutic effect of steaming. It is on every evening, after the sunset, but can also be requested for use during the daytime. Next, to the pool, its two round windows look out to sea. Enjoy your steaming session with dips in either the pool or the sea.
Next to the main yoga shala rises an impressive Bodhi tree, similar to that which the Buddha sat under for enlightenment. It is a perfect secluded space for quiet contemplation or personal meditation sessions. They also have a traditional Vedic Fire (yajna) shala for certain mantra chanting rituals. Here, on many occasions, they conduct a fire ceremony, a practice that ignites an extremely positive charge into the earth and surrounding vibration.
They have carefully chosen the items they sell in the shop to fit a sustainable and conscientious approach. Products include their own Samahita Retreat creations such as t-shirts, yoga mats, water bottles, and notebooks.
The total self-care program is the best value package to optimize your Samahita experience. The combination of all the practices, food, and accommodation, plus a selection of therapies and treatments each day enhances your time for renewal and destress while here.
You will have dynamic group classes in the morning, Restorative with breath, core, and cycle classes in the afternoon, morning meditation and breathwork with the option to participate in an evening meditation, and personal time to relax, read, and enjoy the beach. The retreat will take place in Na Mueang, Koh Samui, Thailand. Samahita Retreat is located on the south coast of Koh Samui, a tropical island in the Gulf of Thailand that still has long stretches of pristine beaches and unspoiled land. The ideal setting for Thailand holiday packages is only about an hour away from Bangkok by air, an hour plus from Singapore, and three hours from Hong Kong. Koh Samui has the allure of a remote island paradise but with the accessibility of the region's most popular destinations.
Situated on Laem Sor beach, Samahita Retreat is surrounded by towering coconut trees in a quiet and spacious area with incredible sunrises and sunsets that play with the colors of the water, sand, and tropical fauna. Only a few hundred meters away is the well-known Laem Sor Pagoda, which houses the remains of Leung Poo Daeng, a realized monk. The only other structures in the area are privately owned villas.
As such, Samahita Retreat's beach is private and virtually undisturbed, creating a beautiful, peaceful setting for you to enjoy your Thailand yoga holiday and chosen wellness packages. The main shopping areas are still within easy reach, about fifteen to thirty minutes away by car or motorbike. Samahita Retreat's gentle setting inspires long, refreshing walks on the beach or through the meandering back roads.
You will be served all meals and drinks included in the price. Samahita Retreat offers mainly vegetarian food with fish and dairy options as well as specifically vegan and raw dishes. Eggs are available to order and are included in the brunch offering every day. Please order them at the juice bar on the days you would like to have some. For those that do not take fish or eggs, there is always an alternative protein option available. Milk is available as well as homemade rice, coconut, and soya milk. If you are allergic to certain foods, please let them know.

Every single menu served at the buffet is detailed on the blackboard just outside the dining area. On it, you will find clearly noted symbols stating if the dish is vegan, contains wheat or eggs, and a host of other allergens that they have come across over the past 15 years serving thousands of people.
They have self-service herbal tea (ginger, lime, and mint) at the side juice bar from 6:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and then again at dinner time from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Coffee, black and green tea are also available in the morning from 6:45 a.m. These tea and coffee offerings are complementary. These orders just need to be signed for and are automatically added to your room bill.
