From the moment you arrive, the retreat provides ample space to either relax in the rooms, courtyard or terraces or to simply soak up the sun by the outdoor pool. There is a sense of peace and serenity accompanied by the sound of water of the waterfalls and fountains of the retreats oriental gardens and surroundings.

The lobby is an informal space, complete with library and comfortable Balinese sofas and armchairs, looking out through the ceiling to floor windows to the panoramic view of the surrounding pine forests and mountains, offering a unique perspective of Andalucia. It's the perfect place for guests to relax and enjoy a healthy juice or herbal tea. The 14 bedrooms at Shanti-Som Wellbeing Retreat consist of 12 premium rooms and two junior suites, making it a beautiful boutique hotel near Marbella, but certainly well away from everyday life.

Following the philosophy of east meets west, all 14 rooms have been individually designed with attention to detail including marble luxury en-suite bathrooms, fine linens, flat-screen TV, and stylish furnishings and accessories including bath amenities, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer, safe, etc. The private terrace or balcony is the ideal place to relax and absorb the surrounding nature of the pine forest and mountains. The suites are private heaven with four-poster beds, fine linens and soft furnishings, large terraces overlooking the oriental gardens.

Shanti-Som Wellbeing Retreat will send you a sports questionnaire by e-mail, which they kindly ask you to send back to them fully completed in order to prepare your program according to your needs so that you can start enjoying it from the moment you arrive.

The Pilates method offered at Shanti-Som is based on fluid movements performed with control, which is essential for the use of breathing. It consists of strengthening and overall body flexibility, increases range of motion and teaching proper breathing. It is accessible to everyone and divided into different levels suitable to the needs of each person.

It is very good for people with physical problems such as the back and neck. Pilates corrects incorrect postural habits and improves body alignment. It improves coordination of movements and a sense of balance. Muscle flexibility, mobility, and agility are increased and the muscles and strengthened. It teaches body awareness through work out and helps to prevent injuries.

It is ideal to relieve most back pains, to strengthen the lumbo-abdominal area, to gain psychological well-being, to reduce anxiety, depression, and insomnia, to strengthen the pelvic area, to reduce digestive discomfort and constipation, to strengthen the muscles of the legs and body. It also helps to maintain weight.

Please book your flight to arrive at Málaga - Costa del Sol Airport (AGP). Transfer from and to Málaga Airport (AGP) can be arranged for you. For one up to four persons, a transfer will cost 70 EUR per way which will be paid at the hotel. These rates are not commissionable.   • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
