Why join this training?
Bodhidharma sailed from India to China, met the Chinese emperor, sat facing a wall for 9 years at the Shaolin Monastery, and initiated one of the most influential schools of thought in the world... called Chán 禅(or Zen) philosophy.
A common Zen question for quieting the mind is "Why did Bodhidharma come to the East?" that refers to Bodhidharma's main purpose to move his knowledge to Eastern culture. This knowledge has grown for many centuries. Now the world is getting smaller and smaller so this rich knowledge can be spread all over the world through media and fast transportation. The question can easily become "Why did Bodhidharma come from the East?" so you can take this knowledge and go further the civilization through ancient paths of wisdom.
About the training
Learning traditional and authentic Kung Fu Tai Chi and Qi Gong is not the only activity in the camp. The campers will also have the opportunity to take hikes on the various nature trails and visit nearby locations with sightseeings for outdoor training, to learn about the philosophy and history of the Shaolin culture through afternoon projections (historical documentaries, etc.) and discussions. The stay at the camp ends with a closing ceremony and every participant will receive a certificate for his work.
