Day 1: Phnom Krom for Sunset Cycling Tour

  • Location: Phnom Krom Mountain

Leave your hotel at 14:30. Ride through to see a local market where you could see all the products on the ground and continue to the mountain where your destination will be finished after sunset. Have a local snack on the way back like the baby duck egg, fruit shake, and dessert.

Pick-up is at your hotel at approximately 07:30. They will forward to the ticket booth to buy the ticket for visiting the temple if your values have done that cause, the tour will start at the main temple (Angkor Wat is the largest religious monument in the world).

On the short circuit tour, you will have the chance to visit the extraordinary historical sites surrounding Siem Reap: You will visit Angkor Wat which is considered to be the greatest of the Khmer temples. There you will find Khmer art which reached the height of its glory in the 12 century. You will then go to the south gate of Angkor Thom and visit the Bayon temple which is the stone facing of Avalokiteshvara and the state temple of the Mahayana Buddhist King Jayavarman VII.

The tour then takes you to the Terrace of Elephants the main terrace the KIng sits on to observe the training of elephants. Keep going to see an amazing view of Ta Prohm, left as it was discovered. Kapok trees clasp the sanctuaries with their mighty roots.

After Ta Prom, you will take a moment to stop and relax and purchase food and drinks at restaurants and shops. Kampong Phluk is a commune and village in Siem Reap Province in northern-central Cambodia, it has 20km from Siem Reap city. Kampong Pluk is a real Khmer where people are living by Khmer tradition. Their houses are made of wood and bamboo and built on stilts about 6 m to 7 m high.

During the dry season when the lake is low and lacks water those buildings look like skyscrapers.

Monastery in the village: when you arrived at the destination, they will be organizing the convenient boat for you, it’s comprised of swimming lingerie, the shirt for passengers. You will be on the boat for 30 minutes to reach the floating monastery. While visiting the monastery, you would enjoy the peaceful and beautiful scenery. The monastery is surrounded by a lake.

Prey Kop Community: when you leave the pagoda, you will visit the local community. There is a density of tall forests. Even more, you could take the small boats to visit the surrounding. If you have rented small boats over there, it means that you can help the local woman. Because before the women over there have no work to do, they just stay at home and take care of their children. No income revenue for their family, that is why the leader of an association had created that to support them.

The main lake: The last of the tour, leaving the community. You go over one more village to the main part of the lake. You could have a good capture and get the fresh air.

  • Date: Mid-10th century (967)

King: The temple was founded by a Brahmin named Yajnavaraha who was attached to Rajendravarman II. Culture: Hindu(Shiva). The temple was built in Ishvarapura, the city of Lord Shiva. Banteay Srei temple has often been described as a gem of a temple. The images are appropriated as the temple’s dimensions are quite small and the refinement of its carving reached a level that found no equivalent in other Khmer temples.
