The first floor greets you with three bedrooms - two doubles and one single - each adorned with enchanting forest views ensuring peaceful nights of rest and a large bathroom. There are two well-appointed bathrooms, a spacious, fully equipped kitchen where your cooking classes will take place, and an airy living room adorned with a marble fireplace and bathed in natural light. Whether you are sharing meals with your hosts or simply unwinding, the woodland backdrop provides endless inspiration and relaxation.

Program

Experience the warmth of local culture while staying at the luxurious estate of Alexandros and Denia, a welcoming Greek couple, nestled in the lush, pine-covered slopes of Mount Parnitha. This serene retreat, surrounded by nature’s revival after fires three years ago, is a testament to Greece’s resilience and natural beauty. Your adventure extends beyond the kitchen, diving into the heart of Athens. In just four days, visit Athens' top attractions and gain a deep understanding of Greek history.

Wander through the Ancient and Roman Agoras, marvel at the iconic Acropolis, and explore the treasures of the Acropolis Museum with a guided group tour. Witness the ceremonial changing of the guards at Syntagma Square before immersing yourself in the city’s vibrant shopping districts, where you can browse Greek designer brands and discover unique souvenirs. The journey continues with a scenic cruise through the Saronic Gulf, visiting the stunning islands of Hydra, Poros, and Aegina, each offering crystal-clear waters and picturesque seaside views.

But the highlight of your stay is a full day of cooking with Alexandros and Denia, mastering authentic Greek recipes like Spanakopita, Saganaki, Moussaka, Spetsofai, Baklava, Tzatziki, and a classic Greek salad. You will also bake Tsoureki, a traditional sweet bread, to bring home as a delicious memento of your holiday. This culinary retreat is suitable for any season and is perfect for solos, couples, students (inquire for better pricing), or friends, with a maximum group size of six people.

Combine this experience with a holiday to the Greek islands and other parts of Greece or even a short break to Athens for a complete and flexible getaway. For those looking to extend their experience, additional days can be added, allowing you to explore more of Athens or take day trips to nearby historical sites like Mycenae and Epidaurus, immersing yourself further into Greece’s rich heritage. Contact your host directly to plan your personalized experience and embark on this culinary adventure.

Experience the warmth of Greek hospitality with Alexandros and Denia, your hosts during this exclusive holiday. Nestled in the serene Katsimidi forest on the outskirts of Athens, Alexandro’s luxury residence will be your home away from home. Alexandros, a retired bank manager in his mid-60s, brings a wealth of local knowledge, and a welcoming and kind personality to enrich your experience.

With a passion for cooking inspired by his mother, he will prepare your daily breakfast and share with you the flavors of ‘Politiki’ cuisine, hailing from Constantinople. Beyond the culinary delights, Alexandros will be your guide and driver, unveiling Athens' hidden treasures throughout your stay. Meanwhile, his good friend Denia, a Greek Australian with a background in business consulting and teaching Greek to foreigners, ensures every detail of your visit is meticulously attended to.

Residing on the underground floor, they seamlessly orchestrate your experience, making it both effortless and delightful. This holiday does not require a minimum number of participants. Solo travelers are welcome to join. Join Spiros Family Apartments for this culinary holiday where every moment is a celebration of Greek tradition, culture, and flavors, as you enjoy the spirit of Greek hospitality and the art of cooking.
