Sun Sang Eco Retreats

Sun Sang Eco Retreats is a first-of-its-kind eco-friendly sustainable hospitality provider utilizing 100% bamboo architecture in Bali. They were founded in 2017 when the volcano eruption of Mount Agung left many locals homeless and in desperate need of jobs. Sun Sang Team hence started their education programs and trained locals with bamboo-building skills. These locals have now become top leaders and specialists in Indonesia’s bamboo architecture field.

Every piece of furniture in their rooms is artistically designed and hand crafted by these specialists, by a unique approach called “Biomimicry” - creating designs that are inspired, sourced, and sustained by nature. Sun Sang Team believes in the healing powers of nature and pours your heart and soul into the protection and preservation of the property, river, jungle, and greenery. They heartily invite nature lovers, adventure seekers, and fans of bamboo architecture to come to the resort and stay forever.

They do not have luxurious facilities or modern comforts such as air-conditioners, but they will host you with their authenticity, warmth, kindness, and smiles. All of the bamboo houses are inspired by various animal shapes and utilize the open space concept which provides a deep connection with nature that aims to give positive energy to rejuvenate your body and soul.

Each house is fully equipped with a living room, fan, shower, desk, balcony, and wardrobe. Houses are surrounded by stunning river views and tropical greenery that will take your breath away.
