Join SUP YO in collaboration with Amy Williams of Felt Sense Psychotherapy for a weekend of somatic healing and self-discovery at The Bartlett Village House. On this retreat, you will focus on the role that the nervous system plays in your mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellness, and how you can use this knowledge to increase resiliency and vitality in your own life. You will move, breathe, learn, expand and return home with new knowledge and tools that you can start to implement in your daily life.
You will stay at The Bartlett Village House B&B in a single or double room. Built-in 1890, this house began as a private residence, but by 1918 was operated as an inn / restaurant by Gertrude Thompson whose husband worked as a foreman on the railroad.
In 1945, it was purchased by Sanford Hill who renamed it the Chippanock Inn (bright north star). He continued to operate it until his death in the early 1990s. The house now has seven beautiful bedrooms, three and a half bathrooms sleeping 14 doubles and 11 singles comfortably.
It offers a unique getaway complete with New England charm. Beautifully decorated in antiques and original decor with just the right amount of modern updates, you will never want to leave. This quaint historic home dates back to the late 1800s and has been lovingly cared for.
There is lots of historic charm in this town landmark. You will find the welcoming atmosphere of a grand covered porch with an adjacent sunroom with lots of seating to relax. The charming guest rooms are tastefully decorated in period antiques and comfortable bedding.
There is a large dining room for your family gatherings and a cozy living room with a fireplace and large flatscreen television with cable and Wi-Fi. Enjoy evenings by the bonfire in the private backyard or take a short walk to the Saco River. They hope you will feel at home whether you frequent the White Mountains area or are a first-time visitor.
There are three double rooms available on the third floor. Each includes two beds and a shared co-ed bath for two people.
There are two single rooms and two suites available on the second floor.
If you feel like this retreat resonates with you, please join SUP YO Adventures for a weekend of connection and ease as you explore emotional well-being from a body-first lens. True healing happens when you get out of your head and into your body.
Somatic healing is a holistic approach to healing that focuses on the interconnectedness of the mind and body. It acknowledges that emotional, psychological, and physical well-being are deeply intertwined, and therefore, to achieve healing, one must address all aspects of the self.

This Somatic Healing retreat is also suitable for folks simply interested in learning and experiencing ways to optimize their mental, emotional, and physical well-being through somatic healing.
This retreat is not intended to treat active addiction, psychosis, or severely destabilized mental health conditions. They can make referrals so that applicants can be connected with the appropriate care facility.
The term "somatic" refers to the body and bodily sensations. Somatic healing practices often involve becoming more attuned to bodily sensations, movements, and patterns as a means of accessing and processing emotions, traumas, and stressors that may be stored in the body.
An important focus of somatic work is understanding and embodying the language of the nervous system as a way to heal from chronic stress and trauma.
By cultivating awareness of bodily sensations and using various body-first techniques such as breathwork, yoga, somatic movement, and mindfulness practices, individuals can release tension, resolve emotional blockages, and promote healing on multiple levels.
Somatic healing approaches are commonly used in psychotherapy, trauma therapy, and alternative medicine modalities. They can be beneficial for individuals seeking relief from physical ailments, chronic pain, trauma-related symptoms, stress, anxiety, and depression, among other issues. Somatic healing emphasizes the importance of listening to the wisdom of the body and using its innate capacity for healing and self-regulation.
