Location

Everest Base Camp Trek takes you near the highest altitude landscape in the world. The UNESCO World Heritage Site listed national park is the primary habitat of some of the rarest and most beautiful plants and animals.

The local Sherpa community who have been living here since a long time ago have a special adaptation to the high altitude, and it is amazing to see that people have been living at such high altitude with ease since a long time ago. This classic trek is a full 12 days hike surrounded by the highest mountains in the world.

Food

The package includes 14 breakfasts, 12 lunches, and 12 dinners.

Everest Base Camp is a world-famous trekking region among trekkers hence this region provides a wide range of delicious western meals like Pasta, noodles, pizzas, bread, soup, etc. Dal Bhat (rice, lentils, and vegetables) are a great way to gain energy for the strenuous trek. As you trek higher you should avoid meat for health purposes as it is not good to eat meat at higher altitudes and also the meat is not very fresh.

There are plenty of water stations at each stop on the route. You can easily fill up the bottle from the open taps. Swotah Travel and Adventure recommends that you bring water purifier tablets with you or at least get them from Kathmandu before you depart for trekking. You can also buy mineral waters but Swotah Travel and Adventure usually recommends tap water which is pure and it helps the environment by not promoting plastic bottled water.
