How the course works

You can join a session whenever you choose, use weekly or stretch it out, drop in anytime over a 12 month period. Synergy Experiences will send you the Zoom codes to join the sessions.

There are 15 unique mindfulness sessions that you can choose to join as scheduled below. The guest can choose between the sessions that are of 1 hour 15 minutes or 2 hours as they have 30 hours in total they can mix and match.

Tooling

  • A yoga mat if you have one, if not, you can use a towel
  • A note pad, journal, or writing paper
  • A pen / coloured pencils / pens (if possible)
  • Wear comfortable warm clothing
  • Have water or a refreshment close by
  • A blanket for meditation
  • Light a candle, incense, palo santo, or essential oils prior to joining the session if you have them

Timing of sessions

All times are GMT until March 28, 2021 and BST until October 31, 2021.

Sessions are held every Tuesday evening, Wednesday evening, Thursday morning and one Saturday and Sunday a month.

Guests can drop in and out of sessions to suit them.

Course information

Synergy Experiences encourages you to discover all 15 mindfulness sessions to complete your mindfulness journey and reinvigorate or renew your mindfulness practice in the relaxing mindfulness morning or evening sessions.

1. Mind, body, and heart

Mindfulness is in fact very simple. Mindfulness is bringing your attention to this precise moment in time, into the here and now; but it’s not judging the moment.

There are no levels, no people good at mindfulness, there is no one bad at it, no competition, no appropriate age, no gender, no experts, it is just a practice, it is just mindfulness. It’s about building a relationship with yourself and the world around you.

2. Letting go

It’s an invitation to cease clinging to anything, an idea, a thing, an event, a particular time, or view or desire. A conscious decision to release with full acceptance into the stream of present moments unfolding and live here in this space.

3. Cultivating patience

If you cultivate patience, you almost can’t help cultivate mindfulness and your meditation practice will gradually become richer and more mature. After all, if you are not trying to get anywhere else in this moment, patience takes care of itself. It is letting things unfold in their own time.

4. Different doors into the same room

Explore life in its simplest form. Working with your a senses is a powerful way of cultivating mindfulness and really brings lightness and fun to the practice; it can enhance your experience of life in profound ways.

5. Me, myself, and I

Virtually any and in every moment the thinking mind turns to 'selfing': My moment, my opinion, my future, my body, my life, etc. Take away the pressure of making your self the centre of the universe and being the star of the show.

6. There is no better moment

Embrace each and every moment. When your mind wanders, repeat and remind your self. There is no better moment then this one, this moment is life, this moment is all you ever have, enjoy this moment, whatever is happening in this moment how can you live and enjoy it fully.

7. Exploring affirmations

The power of thought – Explore that human consciousness that has a remarkable effect on the molecular structure of water. Positive affirmations can be used to channel and redirect negative thoughts.

8. Falling awake

Being mindful is cultivating a positive outlook, it is having the ability to become the observer – Out, looking in. Practising mindfulness and meditation increases your awareness and enriches your experience of life to live a more present and fulfilling existence.

9. Empowerment and inspiration

Some of you may live or have lived in autopilot, but you are a species who is aware that you are aware. You can cultivate a far more profound way of being feel empowered and Inspired by your practice.

10. The path to heartfulness

The word heart and mind in many Asian languages is the same word. Therefore, the word mindfulness is also heartfulness. It’s a connection to the mind but also the heart, when you are mindful and pay attention you connect with the heart.

11. Expanding awareness

The core of mindfulness is awareness and is intricately linked with non-judgment. Mindfulness is bringing your awareness to this precise moment in time - what is your experience of right now? It is almost an inventory of what is happening in the field of awareness - but without making a list.

12. Befriending silence

This topic is to play and befriend silence as if it was a long lost friend, it may take time to get used to it but you feel at home as soon as you embrace it.

13. Opening of the heart

Mindfulness is awareness and when you are more aware and in touch with yourselves and the world around you, you automatically become more compassionate, have more empathy, become less selfish and self centered as you are more mindful.

14. Mastering meditation

A lot of the time people perceive meditation as a mystery that really only Zen monks can do it on a top of a mountain for days, months, years and of course that is the case in some cases. The problem with this is that it alienates a lot of people. So today you are going to take down all the myths, the worries, the hurdles, the boundaries, the walls and open up to the power of meditation.

15. Healing and growing

Lose the fear of the rain because when the rain falls to the earth it always brings with it something of the air. However bad the storm, it will eventually pass and with the rain falls the wisdom of the heavens.
