This holiday focuses a lot on the rediscovery of Salento traditions, from the various cooking classes to the tasting and discovery of local wines, to other activities connected to the theme of gastronomy, one of the strengths of this territory.

The days will be a mix of the discovery of the territory in the most characteristic places both from a naturalistic and artistic point of view and the food and wine area that will accompany the guests from breakfast to dinner.

The management of the estate is familiar and this is precisely the characteristic of the tour, to experience Salento in an authentic way feeling at home, the programs can be flexible according to the customer's needs, and the spirit of this experience is aimed at small groups and not at tourist groups precisely to keep intact that sense of genuineness and familiarity that distinguishes it.

Sample itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at the farmhouse, settle in and explore the site

The team will pick you up at the airport (Brindisi) or at the train station to take you to Tenuta Linazza, a typical Salentine farmhouse surrounded by olive trees where it produces extra virgin organic olive oil. You settle into your rooms and after a short rest, take a walk in the farmhouse, and the host will tell you its history.

You will visit the oil mill and the team will explain the procedure (the Tenuta Linazza team uses the old procedure) to later taste the excellent oil.

After visiting the farmhouse, you will do a fresh pasta cooking class. You will prepare orecchiette, a typical pasta of the territory. Once you finish the class, you will have dinner. Enjoy the results of your hard work in the kitchen.

Day 2: Pasticciottos' day and Galatina or Gallipoli

Once you have had breakfast, you will go to Galatina, a city known for creating Pasticciotto (the most famous sweet in Salento). You will visit the pastry shop that invented pasticciotto and taste it.

Next, you will visit the Cathedral of Santa Caterina and once finished you will have free time to eat or shop. Another possibility is to visit the beautiful city (Gallipoli). It was one of the most important cities in southern Italy due to its strategic position with a huge port. It borders a very beautiful sea, the Ionian Sea.

Then you will return to the farmhouse where you will make a recreation of the Patticciotto with Emilio, your chef. Dinner will be based on fish.

Day 3: Cooking class, visit all the corners of Lecce, and eat Neapolitan pizza in Tricase

After breakfast, you will do a cooking class based on typical starters of the territory (pita di patata, and focaccia). Once you finish, you have free time in which the team will take you to visit Tricase.

You will dedicate this day to visiting one of the most beautiful cities in Italy, Lecce. They call it the Florence of the South for its baroque influence. You will visit it with a professional guide who will show you the most beautiful corners of the city.

Later you will have free time to eat exquisite local dishes and enjoy the city. You will return for dinner at Tricase the Napoletana typical pizza.

Day 4: Wine and Otranto

This day, you will dedicate it to gastronomy. You will visit one of the most important towns in Salento, Otranto. You will eat there and visit the town in your free time.

Return to the farmhouse to have a short rest and visit a winery where they will tell you about their beginnings and they will give you a tasting of their best wines. You will have dinner at the farmhouse based on traditional dishes.

Day 5: End of tour, thank you for choosing Tenuta Linazza

You will have breakfast for the last time in the farmhouse and with great regret, Tenuta Linazza will take you to the airport. It would have been a pleasure to accompany you these days and Tenuta Linazza hopes to see you soon.
