A good night's sleep will set you up perfectly for your first riding day. Rest well and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!
After a hearty breakfast, you'll gear up and set off towards Keylong, tackling the iconic Rohtang Pass along the way. The road to Keylong will be all paved with hilly terrain, but the breathtaking views will make every twist and turn worth it. Despite the "bum ache," the stunning scenery will leave you speechless and the climb will leave you breathless.
Fuel up both your bike and your spirit at Tandi. You'll need both as you navigate through the inspiring landscapes. Don't miss the chance to admire the heart-shaped waterfall at Sissu as you approach Keylong. By evening, check into your hotel in Keylong and unwind after an exhilarating day on the road. Rest well, as tomorrow promises more adventures in the Himalayas!
After a hearty breakfast, gather and double-check that your luggage is securely loaded in the luggage vehicle. As you set off for Pang, remember that this is a remote stretch with no fuel stations, so ensure your tank is full and you have your high-altitude medication handy.
Today's ride is a thrilling mix of challenge and beauty - often referred to as one of the toughest yet most breathtaking stretches. The weather and road conditions can change on a dime, with road blockades, landslides, and snowfall being common, alongside numerous water crossings. It's a ride that will test your skills and endurance, so brace yourself for the unpredictable "death road."
While the stunning landscapes will captivate you, driving through freezing-cold water crossings and dodging falling rocks demands your full attention. The Himalayas can surprise you at any moment, so stay alert and safe.
After a day of exhilarating riding, your shoulders and back would be so damn tired, and your executive class body wouldn't mind sleeping at Banjaara style stays - cramped beds in a common room. You can cook your food outside with your trembling hands. You better be ready to dance when a fellow rider sings in the evening. Rest up at the ordinary dormitory-style transit camp stay in Pang; tomorrow's adventure awaits!
"Come on, buddy! I know this place is amazing, but what's coming next is even better!" says a fellow rider as you gear up and roll out from Pang, venturing further into the surreal landscapes that feel straight out of John Carter's Mars. Your first stop is the stunning Morey Plains, the most picturesque stretch of road you'll ride. It's easy to lose track of time as you cruise along the endless, flat roads surrounded by towering Himalayan mountains. You'll feel a sense of timelessness as the scenery pulls you deeper into its embrace.
Next, you ride to the mighty Tanglang La, perched at an altitude of 5,328 m. As you ascend, the mercury drops faster than your speedometer climbs, and the cold begins to bite. You'll stop at the top for a quick photo op - if you can manage it with shaky hands from the chill! But don't linger too long, because the descent is just as thrilling, with the landscape constantly changing as the towering mountains shift colors before your eyes.
As you approach Upshi, riding alongside a tributary of the Indus River, the desire to stop for more photos will be strong. But you'll have learned your lesson after the bitter cold at Tanglang La. Push through - Leh awaits! As the "Welcome to Leh" board comes into view, your heart will shout, "Yes, I made it!"
You'll arrive in Leh with a deep sense of accomplishment and a story worth telling. Overnight at Leh hotel.
Gear up for one of the most thrilling rides of your journey! Today, you ascend to Khardung La, one of the highest motorable passes in the world at a staggering altitude of 5359 m. The ride might be short at just 40 km, but the climb is intense. You'll feel the power drop in your engine and the thinning air as you climb to 1859 m.
Breathe in the crisp mountain air and take in the breathtaking views as the green valley gives way to rugged, towering peaks. At the summit, with 50% of the oxygen but 100% of the exhilaration, you'll take a well-deserved break for photos next to the famous Khardung La signboard. It's not just a ride; it's an achievement every rider dreams of.
Once the celebratory moment passes, you begin your descent into Nubra Valley. The landscape changes dramatically as you follow the Shyok River, passing Khardung village on the way. Your next stop is the magnificent Diskit Monastery, where you'll stand at the feet of the 108-foot Maitreya Buddha statue, taking in the panoramic views of the valley.
A short ride later, you reach the magical sand dunes of Nubra Valley. Here, you'll have the chance to witness the rare double-humped Bactrian camels, found only in high-altitude deserts like this. The open landscape of Nubra, with its unique mix of sand and snow-capped peaks, will leave you spellbound. After an adventurous day, you settle in for the night in the heart of Nubra Valley.
Get ready, because today's ride is not for the faint-hearted. You begin your journey following the course of the Shyok River, whose name translates to "The River of Death" in the local language - a hint of the adventure that lies ahead.
After a short ride, you hit the narrow mountain road, snaking along rocky cliffs and into the wild heart of Ladakh. The offroading begins once you leave the main Leh road behind. The track starts easy with small patches of broken roads but quickly turns more demanding.
You'll ride through long stretches of fine white sand and unpaved tracks littered with loose stones and rubble. As you pass Agham village, the challenge really kicks in. Streams of glacial water cross our path, turning the ride into an unpredictable mix of mud and water crossings. It's like the Himalayan gods decided to test your physical and mental endurance today.
This is the day where you'll feel every bump and every turn, but it's also the day that will reward you the most. The epic final stretch, through what feels like a Martian landscape, leads you straight to the shores of the holy Pangong Lake. The crystal-clear blue waters stretch as far as the eye can see, flanked by towering peaks—a sight that will take your breath away.
Take a stroll by the lake's shore, snap some photos, and let the serenity of Pangong wash over you. But don't linger too long; the biting cold wind sets in quickly. Make sure to reach the semi-deluxe tents or cottages before sunset. The night may be cold, but You'll warm up fast with the adventure stories shared at the dinner table by fellow riders. Pangong Lake, with its brackish waters and stunning beauty, is worth every grueling mile of the ride.
Get ready for one of the most thrilling and isolated routes of the entire journey! Start your day with a hearty breakfast because the ride today will take you far from civilization - no coffee shops, no distractions, just you and the wild Changthang Plateau.
First, you'll hug the pristine coastline of Pangong Lake as you ride towards the Chinese border. Along the way, you'll pass through remote villages before reaching the last stretch of Pangong within Indian territory. But this is where the adventure truly begins!
Once you hit Chusul, the road will disappear into dirt trails, and the ride turns into an off-roader's dream. You'll feel the thrill of riding over stones and loose soil, with Rezang La's historical echoes adding to the atmosphere. Be prepared to navigate through multiple tire tracks that crisscross the dust - just follow your guide closely, or you might find yourself lost in a maze of sandy trails. Watch out for the hidden Tsaga La pass, which you'll cross without even realizing, thanks to the breathtaking surroundings.
Before long, you'll find yourself stuck (and loving it) in sand piles around Loma, and the journey continues as you cross the mighty Indus River. Brace yourself for one of the most scenic single-lane rides to Hanle—a mesmerizing path that feels otherworldly. By evening, you'll reach the remote village of Hanle, where the serenity is unmatched. Spend the night in this peaceful oasis, reflecting on an epic day of adventure. Overnight stay in a hotel.
Today's ride is the ultimate badge of honor - conquering the highest motorable road in the world: Umling La! The sense of adventure is undeniable as we navigate one of the most remote and rugged landscapes on Earth.
There are multiple routes leading to Umling La, but you'll take the one in the best condition or whichever is open. All of them pass through the famed Chisumle Bridge, a spot known for sightings of rare wildlife such as the Himalayan Marmot, Kiang (wild Tibetan donkeys), Blue Sheep, and the majestic Black-necked Crane. Keep your eyes peeled—this route feels like nature's secret playground.
You'll be taking the scenic yet challenging route via Nurbu La. After leaving Hanle, the landscape opens up into a vast, no-man's valley with dirt trails scattered everywhere. Here, it's easy to lose your way if you're not closely following your road captain - choose the wrong trail and you might find yourself stuck in deep sand!
The initial part of the ride is smooth, but the real challenge begins as you start the steep climb up Nurbu La. This unpaved road, with its sharp incline and fine sand, is sure to test your skills and endurance—this is what adventure riding is all about.
Upon reaching the top of Nurbu La, the reward is a beautifully paved road that leads us toward Umling La. From here, you ride along the Kingdul River, steadily climbing higher along the winding Chismule-Demchok road.
Unlike other high mountain passes, you won't see deep valleys here, but instead a dramatic landscape that feels like another planet. As you reach the Umlingla, your motorcycle will feel the altitude as much as you do—but nothing compares to the pride of taking a photo at the top of the world.
Once you've soaked in the moment (and maybe enjoyed a warm cup of tea at the legendary Oxygen Café), you'll begin your descent, heading back to Hanle for the night. This ride is a story you'll tell for years to come!
Special note: Access to Umling La is subject to permits. For foreign riders, if permits are denied, you'll make the most of the day by exploring Hanle town and its nearby gems.
Today marks your ride through the raw and rugged beauty of the Changthang region. It's going to be a long but exhilarating day as you cover 250 km of breathtaking terrain. From the vast barren lands to the curves of the Indus River, every mile will remind you why Ladakh is a rider's paradise.
You'll begin by rolling out on some of the most seductive roads you've ever ridden—long, open stretches where the throttle feels like an extension of your soul. Crossing the Indus River at Loma, you'll definitely stop for photos.
Keep your camera handy, as it's not uncommon to spot herds of Kiang, the wild Tibetan donkeys that roam this part of Ladakh. The wide, open panoramas will make you feel like you're riding through a different planet.
After a few photo stops, you'll arrive in Chumathang for lunch. Chumathang is famous for its hot springs, where boiling water bubbles up from the earth - a natural wonder that's a unique stop on this journey. After lunch, you'll hit the road once again, riding on smooth tarmac that will have you grinning under your helmet as we make our way back to Leh.
Before you reach your hotel in Leh, you'll take a detour to visit the iconic Thiksey Monastery and the historic Shey Palace. Thiksey, perched high on a hill, offers breathtaking views and a glimpse into the rich Buddhist culture. At Shey Palace, you can explore the fascinating history and stunning architecture that define this serene area. By evening, you'll arrive in Leh, wrapping up another epic day. Enjoy your night at the hotel.
It's time to say goodbye to Leh, After a hearty breakfast, you'll hit the road on the Leh-Srinagar Highway, cruising along a smooth, two-lane paved highway that will have you savoring the ride. As you make your way, keep your eyes peeled for the Magnetic Hill, where gravity seems to play tricks on you, and the breathtaking confluence of the Zanskar and Indus Rivers - a sight that captures the essence of Ladakh.
Once you reach Khaltsi, the scenery will shift dramatically as we take a detour onto a thrilling narrow mountain ledge road along the Indus River. Get ready for some twists and turns as you navigate these breathtaking cliffs; the views will be as exhilarating as the ride itself!
After a scenic ride, you'll arrive at your campsite in the enchanting Aryan Valley, a hidden gem of Ladakh that feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle. Here, you'll have the chance to explore the surroundings - stroll through lush farms, meet the friendly local Aryans, and immerse yourself in their unique culture.
Interact with the locals, shop for authentic souvenirs, or even don a Brokpa traditional dress for a photo op. If you're feeling adventurous, don't miss the chance to sample some Chhang, the local brew that warms the heart and spirit!
As the sun sets, you'll unwind at the Dah Hanu Camp, soaking in the tranquility of this untouched valley. Get ready to share stories and laughter around the campfire as you reflect on the journeys taken and the landscapes conquered.
Get ready to rev your engines for the final ride of this unforgettable adventure! After a hearty breakfast, you'll set out towards Batalik, a region steeped in history and bravery, famously known for the valiant efforts of the Indian Armed Forces and Ladakh Scouts during the Kargil War. This ride isn't just about the terrain; it's about paying homage to the courageous souls who defended this land.
As you journey on, you'll make a picturesque stop at Lalung Village, where the serene landscapes will take your breath away. Soon, you'll tackle the remote Hambutingla Pass - a perfect spot for a quick photo op against the dramatic backdrop of the mountains. Feel the thrill as you descend towards Kargil, and before you know it, you'll be back on the NH1D highway.
Your first stop in Kargil will be at the Kargil War Memorial, where you'll take a moment to pay tribute to the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Stand in awe of the peaks that silently salute their courage, and reflect on the stories of valor that echo through these mountains.
After a heartfelt visit and a delicious lunch, you'll gear up for one last adventure as you cross the final high mountain pass of your ride - Zoji La. The road may twist and turn, but the thrill of riding through this majestic landscape will keep your spirits high. As you descend from the mountains, you'll enter the enchanting Kashmir region and make your way to Sonamarg.
Upon reaching this charming hamlet, you'll check into a hotel, where comfort awaits after a day filled with exploration. As the day winds down, you'll gather for a farewell dinner to celebrate the incredible journey you've shared. Swap stories, relive the highlights, and toast to new friendships forged along the way. It's a perfect way to wrap up an adventure filled with breathtaking landscapes, unforgettable experiences, and the spirit of camaraderie.

You'll embark on a journey to Srinagar Airport, where the team will drop you off by car at a fixed time. Keep in mind that security checks at the airport can be quite thorough and time-consuming, so plan your departure with ample buffer time to avoid any last-minute rush.
As the landscapes transform from rugged peaks to serene valleys, take a moment to reflect on the incredible adventures you've shared - the laughter, the challenges, and the camaraderie that made this journey so special.
