Tuscan Fitness invites you to a healthy holiday in the heart of the tranquil Tuscan countryside. Relax and recharge with a mix of yoga, fitness sessions, delicious food, and relaxation surrounded by nature. Hosted at the La Forra hotel with gorgeous views in all directions, this is a unique health holiday offering flexible dates for arrival and departure days. Pick your own dates and stay for as long as you want.
The hotel offers a blend of rustic charm and modern comfort for guests. The hotel features varied rooms, with one, two, or three bedrooms, each with a bathroom. Each of the hotel rooms is equipped with a television and lovely views and they are all situated within walking distance of the pool and the hotel restaurant.
The hotel has a reading room, a traditional Tuscan restaurant, a number of lovely terraces with amazing views as well as many places to simply read a book and enjoy the tranquility.
Within walking distance of the rooms, you will be able to enjoy the large swimming pool complete with quiet spots to read, nap, or simply soak up the peaceful atmosphere and magnificent views across the rolling green hills of nearby Chianti.
The program includes daily yoga sessions, fitness classes and hikes to local towns, with daily meals at the hotel restaurant, and a wine tasting at a local vineyard, and a trip to a castle to taste their olive oil. Guests are welcome to participate in whichever activities they wish to get the most from their health holiday. Whatever you need to feel relaxed and recharged.

Tuscan Fitness can plan breaks in your program and book excursions to make your stay a one-of-a-kind retreat to practice yoga, exercise, eat well, and become more self-aware. This package is designed for those people who would like to be active whilst also enjoying some time to relax and have fun on holiday.
It is set up so that you can participate in two to three sessions per day, choosing from yoga, fitness (HIIT or barre), and hiking, and all activities are optional.
They combine this exercise with a number of cultural activities such as wine and olive oil tasting which takes place two times per week (every Tuesday and Saturday), as well as the occasional social event (an aperitivo at the hotel restaurant, live music, olive oil tasting, etc.) The goal is to have the right balance of activity and fun to be able to both rejuvenate and relax.
You will explore the Tuscan countryside on daily hikes and go on wine and olive oil tasting every Tuesday and Saturday in the heart of Tuscany.
Alix is a personal trainer and an accredited Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga instructor. Based in Italy, she knows the area and often leads hiking tours and organizes new menus for clients at Tuscan Fitness. For Alix, nutrition and a healthy lifestyle has always been of paramount importance. She is a strong supporter of the Latin saying 'mens sana in corpore sano', which means that only a healthy body can support a healthy mind, so you should strive to keep your bodies in top condition. This was the genesis which led to the development of the Body and Mind company.
Paolo was born in São Paulo , Brazil but has been living in Italy since he first set foot in Rome in early 2000. With previous experience in web marketing and business development, he has been working as online marketing manager at Tuscan Fitness since 2013. He speaks english, italian, portuguese and spanish, has lived and worked in several countries and loves to travel. Though extremely passionate about business, marketing, and all technology, he is equally passionate about yoga, fitness, healthy living and Italian food. Paolo is a certified ISSA / YMCA fitness trainer and yoga Instructor.

Being raised in Australia, Hong Kong, India and having studies classics in Italy, David passion for ancient history and Italian culture will astound you. Elske started practicing yoga to become more flexible after running several marathons and teaching TRX training. She found that yoga improved her flexibility and helped her to become stronger, both physically and mentally. Throughout the years she did several yoga teacher training: trauma- sensitive yoga, prison yoga, yin yoga, and prana vinyasa yoga, which lifted her to a 500h+ teacher. Elske taught Vinyasa, Yin, and Aerial yoga in Qatar. She uses yoga in a playful way to feed the body, mind, and soul in a powerful, creative, and or gentle flow.
Tuscan Fitness is hosted at the Hotel La Forra, in the middle of the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Located on the doorstep of the famous Chianti region, the hotel is located on a hilltop overlooking the Valdarno valley and is complete with amazing views in all directions across rolling green hills, olive groves, vineyards, beautiful historic towns and unspoiled forests.
Nestled between the river Arno and the hills of Chianti, it is also called the Porta del Chianti, which means the door of Chianti, as it is situated on the doorstep of this beautiful region, famous worldwide for its delicious wines.
The area around the hotel is typically Tuscan, with views across the horizon of farms, cypresses, olive groves, and vineyards that extends as far as the eye can see. Tuscan Fitness is also conveniently located for those interested in making day trips to the famous towns and cities in the area, including Florence, Arezzo, Siena, and Orvieto.
You will be served three meals per day included in the price in the hotel restaurant. The breakfast buffet features a wide variety of fresh fruit, seeds, nuts, dried fruit, yogurts, cereals, and muesli (gluten-free also) as well as healthy, homemade peanut butter and almond butter. There are also eggs, freshly baked bread as well as almond, soy, oat, rice, and coconut milk options.
At lunch and dinner, the options usually include a light vegetarian starter for everyone such as a seasonal salad, soup, or vegetable tart.
This is followed by an option of a vegetarian or non-vegetarian main course, or for those guests feeling the need for a classic Italian style lunch, there is also a fresh pasta option.
Tasty but healthy afternoon snacks prove to be popular, as a good source of energy for the day’s activities and because dark chocolate is resoundingly delicious. If you have any special dietary requirements, please email Tuscan Fitness directly to let them know so they can prepare for your arrival.

You can get a direct train from Florence which will take about 35 to 45 minutes to Montevarchi-Terranuova. From Rome, the train takes between one and a half to three hours, depending on the train you decide to take. From Pisa or Bologna, the time varies but it is generally between one to two hours.
For clients travelling to Tuscan Fitness by train, there is a set pick-ups at noon, 13:00, and 15:00. For departures from the hotel to the station, set times are 12:30 and 14:30. Taxi transfers from the station are now 35 EUR (outside of the shuttle times).
