This tour of Tuscany with Harley-Davidson® is the perfect tour for all the lovers of the Milwaukee motorcycles! This is the best way to enjoy one of the most famous regions in the world: Tuscany and discover it with style, riding a Harley-Davidson® through these wonderful roads. This is an exciting and challenging experience that will bring you the best of Tuscany while you ride a brand new Harley-Davison®.
For the motorcycle tours in Tuscany they always book nice hotels that they know personally and would recommend to their family or best friends. As they know well that the accommodation is part of the experience, they always look for places that will enrich your experience.
When you are in Florence you will be staying in 3/4-star hotels. While on the road, they have chosen small, family-run country hotels. They offer comfort, friendliness, and a welcoming atmosphere: something which the big hotels just don’t have. The aim is to give you an intense flavor of Italy, the real Italy. The hotel rooms are double, in case you wish to have a single bedroom there will be an extra charge, usually 70 EUR per night.
The Harley-Davidson® Tour has a duration of seven days and six nights during which you will be able to ride around all the regions so you can have a complete idea of what Tuscany means. It doesn’t matter if it is your first time in Tuscany or not, the local point of view of the tour will make it all different and new.
As you will be riding for seven days in a row for around four to five hours of ride per day, this tour is recommended to riders with experience and good health. Please check the schedule for more information about the program.
There will be a meeting at 5 p.m. in Florence for greetings and taking the motorbikes. Then, you will go to the impressive Piazzale Michelangelo with a breathtaking view of Florence and then, you will have a welcome dinner. There will be free time in the evening to walk around Florence. Accommodation is in a hotel in Florence.
On the first day of serious riding, you will start discovering the North area of Tuscany and the twisty roads of the Apennines and the Mugello riding through the most Tuscan Passes such as the Raticosa Pass, the Futa Pass, and the Porretana. You will have lunch at the Ducati Scrambler Food Factory in Bologna and visit the Ducati Museum. The last stop of the day is the beautiful city of Pistoia. Free time in the evening to walk around Pistoia. Accommodation in a hotel in Pistoia.
Today, you will visit some important cities in Tuscany; you will ride a fantastic road through the mounts to the cozy Lucca, then you will visit the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa and last, the medieval town of Volterra. Accommodation in a hotel in Volterra.
Light day in terms of kilometers but not in emotions: you will visit some of the most amazing towns in Italy while riding your bikes in Chianti: San Gimignano and the famous towers from the Middle Age, the Chianti with its rolling hills and vineyards, the fantastic little town of Monteriggioni located on the top of a hill and finally the breathtaking Siena, the eternal enemy of Florence. Accommodation in a hotel in Siena.
You leave Siena towards the South of Tuscany. You will first make a stop in San Galgano, the ancient Abbey where the original Sword in the Stone is located, then you will keep going South to the Maremma area and you will visit Scansano, Pitigliano, and Sorano. Accommodation in a hotel near Sorano.
Today, you will be touring the Val d’Orcia and its wonderful roads visiting another Abbey called Sant’Antimo, and the towns of Montalcino and Pienza. After lunch, you will go East to Trasimeno Lake and finally to Cortona, famous in the world for the movie “Under the Tuscan Sun”. Accommodation in a hotel near Cortona.
This will be your last day of the tour and you will still have to discover a great area of Tuscany, not the most famous but absolutely impressive: The Casentino and Valdarno. You will go North and you will stop in some interesting spots such as Anghiari and Poppi. Then, you will ride another important road, the Consuma Pass. You will arrive in Florence on time to give back the motorbikes and greetings!
Please note that if your preferred motorcycle is not available for your dates, you can choose an available alternative of the same type. If you change the type, they will change the price accordingly.
