UF is proud to operate their fitness training facility right in their luxurious resort. Roll out of bed straight into training, finish training, and then head to chill directly in one of the three amazing pools or grab a massage. You may never want to leave!

You will work hard on your fitness holiday, and you will deserve some pampering. That's exactly what you get with the luxury boutique accommodation available. With private ensuites, set in landscaped Thai gardens and access to multiple swimming pools, it's the perfect place to unwind and relax.

For the duration of your stay, you will be staying right next to the Ultimate Fitness training area, in an environment very much focused on training. It is nicely secluded, where you can escape distraction.

Room options

UF is located inside a luxurious boutique resort, one of the nicest in Chalong. This sets them apart from other local camps as when you are not training, you will have the choice of three pools to relax in with outstanding facilities.

At the resort, they offer three room classes, all at the same resort: The most popular are the "Single Boutique Room" or the "Single Value Room."

The Boutique Room option is the standard room offering in the luxury resort, with room sizes of 27 sqm.

The Value Room option is a bit smaller, 22 sqm, but still ensuite and in the luxury resort.

Program

Eat, sleep, train, repeat!

The first thing to mention is that no two days will be the same. Also, depending on your own personal fitness goals, timetables can vary depending on the fitness programmes you select.

Ultimate Fitness Holiday is very proud of their roster of fitness trainers. They boast some of the top fitness trainers in the industry. Their trainers are from all over the world and have been hand-picked based on their experience and skill set. Whether you are not fit in the slightest and looking to improve your fitness or are a professional athlete, their roster of trainers can give you the push you need.

Instead of just joining a gym, you will have all training sessions in the Ultimate Fitness gym, exclusive to their guests. They create a holiday experience with the most luxurious accommodation, coupled with excursions and activities. Not only can this genuinely be a life-changing experience, but it is also a great vacation during which you will meet awesome people!

Training options

No matter what your fitness goals are, with a varied selection of fitness programmes available, you will reach them. Here's a few of UF's classes:

Cross training

This has become extremely popular in recent years by utilizing a variety of functional training exercises, equipment, and methods. The cross training class is designed to increase every factor of a participant's fitness, strength, speed, power, flexibility, agility, and cardio.

In this class, coaches will be using a high level of intensity and pace. Variety will be a big factor in how classes will be programmed, constantly changing the body's system. This class is 45 minutes long and more intense than the other classes. You can choose to scale this class by using light or heavier weights and then increasing the intensity.

Strength and conditioning

This is where you will learn the exercise techniques that will lay the foundation for future training. Beginners and advanced athletes can attend this class. UF emphasizes traditional resistance exercises and basic cardiovascular techniques. The goal of this class is to build up strength, stamina, and form to be able to advance your current fitness level.

A variety of equipment and methods will be used to improve your strength, power, and stamina. Class intensity will be high while also introducing techniques for more experienced athletes as well as for the beginners. You can choose to scale this class by using light or heavier weights and then increasing the intensity.

Body 360

This is UF's version of BodyFit. It is an all-over cardio and body pump workout. Sessions will never be the same from day to day, so you hit every muscle group and maximize weight loss and fitness. A complete beginner to the advanced can use this class.

Every exercise is explained beforehand and carefully monitored during the workout to make sure a good form is maintained. You can choose to scale this class by using light or heavier weights and then increasing the intensity.

Yoga

It goes without saying that yoga is amazing for your flexibility. This is completely optional but a great mix in with your workout routine. You will have unlimited yoga session access.

UF practices traditional Sivananda yoga and yoga for athletes. They enjoy a purpose-built yoga studio. The yoga classes run five days a week and will be taught by fully qualified and vastly experienced instructors.

Open mat sessions

The whole camp will be at your disposal to do your own workout. Use all the equipment the camp offers like battle ropes, assault course, med ball, torsonater, Olympic weightlifting bars with plates you can drop, and a bunch of free weights so you can do your own workout of the day (WOD) by yourself or team up with some of the other clients.

There’s a great atmosphere at the camp and everyone encourages each other to push hard. Everyone is very supportive and usually, the person who finishes last gets the most encouragement. It is very different from working out in a normal gym. It’s really addictive!

Realistic results and setting expectations

Due to the nature of the Thailand bootcamp, UF often gets asked, "What kind of results will I see?" This is an impossible question to answer because everyone is different. People have different metabolisms, different work rates, and how long they stay for.

They have had some clients lose 80kg, but the reality is a lot depends on how dedicated you are and what your fitness goals are.

The most important thing to consider, is that you have an incredible opportunity to really make it happen. You will have all the facilities, support, encouragement, know how, and plan to make it happen. If you apply yourself, give yourself time, and you step out of your normal day-to-day environment, you will have every chance.

So what can you achieve? Well, it's down to you but UF guarantees that this is one of the best opportunities you will ever have to make your fitness goals happen.

Traveling alone

Most people who attend the camp are independent travelers and arrive at the camp on their own. If you are concerned about traveling solo, don't be. There is such a social atmosphere at the camp, and it is a really supportive environment where everyone gets to know each other very quickly. Serious physical exercise in a group can be quite a bonding experience, UF assures you. So really, it does not take long for people to get to know one another.

There are no scheduled activities on Sundays. Suggested schedule times and classes can change per week. Please also note that training sessions are always included on weekdays, except for Sonkran Festival, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. There will be no compensation for this.

Included excursions

Every Saturday, the whole crew hits a beautiful beach and do an early workout. It is the perfect way to round off the week of intense training and enjoy paradise. There is where UF likes to show their guests just exactly what makes the area such a beautiful place to train in.

Not only do they offer great beach training classes but they also like to make sure you know all the best places for your daily runs, hikes, and general relaxation.

Location

Phuket, arguably one of the best fitness holiday destinations in the world, is also widely regarded as one of the most beautiful islands in Thailand.

Set away from the nightlife and temptation, the camp is located in the south-central part of Phuket in Chalong. But should you want a night away, there is plenty of good nightlife in and around Phuket town, just 20 minutes by taxi.

Clear from the overcrowded tourist resorts, the training facility backs on to the Thai jungle where the venue is close to Chalong Temple, and overlooked by the Big Buddha off to the distance. This really is a beautiful part of the island.

Phuket is home to beautiful beaches and beach clubs, and you will have the opportunity to join Ultimate Fitness Holiday on excursions, whether it's taking advantage of the infinity pools or superb lunches at the beach clubs on the weekends. The experience is well worth the added expense.

Food

Food is included in the programme: two healthy nutritious meals from Monday to Friday, breakfast and lunch. All meals are without additives and freshly prepared with the best ingredients. The meal plan is specially designed to complement your fitness training goals. Whether you want to lose weight, tone up, or build muscle, the menu has all the combinations you could ask for.

Please note the meals are not transferable so if you miss out on a meal these are not redeemable the next day.

For dinner, there is a wide selection of healthy restaurants and eateries close to the camp. These have sprung up to service the needs of UF's clients and are therefore tailor-made for people focusing on their fitness.

Eating out is not expensive in Thailand. Expect to pay around five to 10 EUR per meal, meaning you would only need to budget an extra of around 70 - 100 EUR per week to cover your food.

You can bring supplements with you, but please make sure these are clearly labelled. UF also has their own protein powder that you can purchase.

Things to do (optional)

The training can be intense so it’s good to have your downtime as well. Typically Sunday is a rest day, and every couple of weeks, UF organizes a new excursion for people to join. This can be visits to stunning beaches on some of the islands surrounding Phuket or lunches in some of the beautiful high-class resorts in Phuket. Often, they take full advantage of infinity pools and five-star hotels. These excursions are organized but not included in the cost of the programme.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Phuket International Airport (HKT). If you send in your flight details a minimum of four days before, Ultimate Fitness Holiday will arrange the free airport pick up for you. Return airport transfers are not included but can be arranged locally.

Chances are you would have had a pretty long flight, but don’t worry since an Ultimate Fitness Holidays representative will be waiting at the airport for you to meet you off your flight. They will transfer you to your chosen accommodation where you can settle in and relax. Usually, arrival is on a Sunday, so you can start your training on Monday morning.

The representative will come and introduce herself to you on Sunday evening and on Monday morning, prior to starting your training, you will get a tour of the training facilities, where you are introduced to your trainers and the rest of the group currently training. Details of who this will be will be in your pre-departure pack issued prior to arrival.

In their experience, even the most nervous of travelers have been quickly welcomed and felt part of the group very quickly. You will feel right at home, so do not worry about travelling alone since UF will be there for you.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 25% of the total price.
