Ayurveda is an ancient Indian medical practice with a holistic and individualized approach to wellness. In Sanskrit, “Ayurveda” is a combination of “ayur,” meaning “life,” and “veda,” meaning “science” or “knowledge.” So, Ayurveda translates to “the science of life.”
The effectiveness of Ayurveda is well-known in today’s world. Ayurveda has the power to treat and heal all kinds of bodily problems by getting to the root cause of the symptoms, whether that is internal (mind, body, and spirit) or external (environmental factors). Ayurveda advocates a way of life that is in complete harmony with nature.
This retreat's focus is on relaxation and detoxification with the help of yoga and Ayurveda, which teaches you a lot about one part of the Indian approach to health science. Yoga and Ayurveda are branches of the same tree of knowledge and said to be complementary to each other.
The routine ensures that yoga becomes a part of the daily schedule which after the detoxification and rejuvenation process instills stability and strength in a person.
This 7-day retreat at Veda Yogshala is ideal for those who are new to Ayurveda, as well as for those who have experienced Ayurveda before. The retreat is designed to relax and vitalize the body and you will be fully immersed in the timeless wisdom and healing nature of Ayurveda.

Although breathing is a natural process, incorrect and irregular breathing is caused when there are various disturbances in the body. The practice of pranayama involves various breathing exercises and techniques to rectify incorrect breathing and become more aware of how you breathe.
At Veda Yogshala, the experienced teachers will teach how to control the timing, duration, and frequency of every breath.
Regular practice has enormous benefits, such as:
Meditation is a technique used for thousands of years to develop an awareness of the present moment. In the Indian culture, meditation is used to help people develop a state of inner calm and tranquility as well as a deeper awareness of the world around them.
The practice of meditation involves intentionally slowing down and focusing on the mind, with the aim of achieving balance and peace. You sit still, breathe, and use your breath to slow down and calm an active mind, which helps to relieve tension and anxiety.
At Veda Yogshala, expert teachers take a gentle approach to show how to meditate for newcomers and discover the different techniques for the more experienced practitioners. They also occasionally offer sound baths and sound healing. Ask them for more information.
