During your retreat, you will be provided three vegetarian meals a day and afternoon herbal tea. Vedanjana advises their visitors to go to bed before 22:00, since it is beneficial to their daily routine. The following is a typical daily schedule for the retreat.

Located in the heart of Rajaji National Forest, our retreat is surrounded by lush greenery, offering a serene escape into nature. Just a short 5-10 minute walk leads to the sacred Ganga River, perfect for peaceful moments by the water. This tranquil setting blends the forest’s calm with the spiritual energy of the Ganga, creating an ideal environment for relaxation and renewal.

Food

During your stay, you will be provided with three vegetarian meals, including afternoon herbal and masala tea.

Food will be vegetarian only, excluding eggs; however, if required, they can offer gluten-free, or vegan alternatives.

  • Ayurvedic Abhyangam Massage

This is a traditional full-body massage using warm herbal oils, aimed at detoxifying, rejuvenating, and balancing the body’s energies. It helps relieve muscle tension, boosts circulation, and enhances overall vitality.

  • Ayurvedic Potli Massage

In this treatment, herbal pouches (potlis) are heated and applied to the body, targeting areas of pain or inflammation. Potli massage is especially beneficial for relieving joint pain, and muscle stiffness, and enhancing flexibility.

  • Shirodhara Therapy

Known for promoting deep mental relaxation, Shirodhara involves the gentle, steady pouring of warm herbal oil onto the forehead. This treatment is excellent for stress relief, improving sleep quality, and calming the mind.

These therapies are an integral part of our retreat program, tailored to support both physical and mental rejuvenation for senior guests.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by plane

The nearest international airport is Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) in New Delhi. If you choose to continue your journey by air, Air India, Jet Airways, and Kingfisher now provide domestic flights to neighboring Dehradun. It takes less than an hour via taxi to go to Rishikesh from there.

Arrival by train

The best alternative is to take a driven cab or tuk-tuk to Haridwar Train Station, which is around 45 minutes away from Rishikesh. The rail travel from Delhi takes between five and eight hours, depending on the train. Many trains go from / to Delhi, Varanasi, Rajasthan, Amritsar, and other cities.

Arrival by bus

Buses to Rishikesh leave New Delhi every hour from the Kashmiri Gate National Bus Stand. Bus travel takes around seven to eight hours, and costs approximately 500 to 600 IDR for air-conditioned buses.

Arrival by taxi

Taxis are readily available across India. The travel from Delhi to Rishikesh will take between five and six hours, depending on traffic. From Dehradun, it takes less than an hour via taxi to go to Rishikesh.
