Victory Fitness Beach's fitness and wellness retreats are dedicated to encouraging a healthy lifestyle. The week is designed around a variety of conventional fitness activities/classes but also incorporates activities that allow the guests to absorb the local culture and attractions. This isn't your standard three fitness classes a day type retreat, there is just as much focus on wellness and adventure as there is on fitness, whilst living in a luxury boutique villa.
This retreat is perfect for somebody that wants to do something different but keep active. One small example is that every guest will be given their own bicycle for the week, nobody is tied to the guest house, everybody is encouraged to go out and explore whenever they like.
Each studio / apartment is uniquely different but with a fantastic traditional Greek design. The owner of the guest house is an incredibly talented local artist and has made the guest house extremely welcoming.
Each studio / apartment comes equipped with basic cooking facilities for the days you do not fancy eating with the group (however, 3 meals a day will be provided). Some of the rooms have terraces / balconies allowing you to enjoy your morning coffee / tea in private (if you wish) and all have private bathrooms.

The Bird House is located at the edge of the property in a secluded location. It is uniquely different but with a fantastic traditional Greek design. The owner of the guest house is an incredibly talented local artist and has made the guest house extremely welcoming.
The Bird House comes with basic kitchen for the days you do not fancy eating with the group (however, 3 meals a day will be provided), and upstairs bedroom, a bathroom and a terrace allowing you to enjoy your morning coffee/tea in private (if you wish). There is no air conditioning available in this property.
Arrive at Kos International Airport (KGS) where you will have a transfer waiting for you to take you to the Asklipion Valley Guest House, approximately 30- 45 minutes away. When you arrive you will be greeted by Gilly your host and she will show you to your accommodation for the week. You will have time to settle in and orientate yourself. She will also introduce you to your allocated bicycle for the week.
At approximately 6 p.m. the group will sit down for the first evening meal and you will be introduced to your fitness instructor / assistance host. At this time you will meet your fellow retreaters and will be given a detailed plan for the exciting week ahead.
There will be a fitness class taking place at 8 a.m. if you choose to take part. Please remember nothing is mandatory and everything is voluntary, so take part in what takes your fancy. Following the class a buffet breakfast will be available between the hours of 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. (don’t worry if you take a little longer).
Other than lunch nothing else is scheduled until 5 p.m. where there will be an evening of fitness class, sunset yoga / Pilates and an evening meal. Take the free time to go and explore the local sites if you wish - the Asklepion is only a stones throw away.
An early start on Day 3 if you wish - go for a guided bike ride to the thermal springs of Kos. The bike ride in total is approximately 30 kilometers, however you are going to take a break halfway and take the opportunity to soak up the healing properties the natural spring is said to give. The route itself, will give you some incredible views and take you through some quaint villages including Platani which is known to be the Turkish settlement on the island.
After returning to the guest house, there will be some time for you to relax and then there will be an evening of fitness classes if you wish to take part. There will be a sunset Pilates / yoga class taking place which after a morning of cycle will be an amazing way to finish the day.
Are you an early riser? If you like the early mornings, you will love Day 4’s sunrise Pilates / yoga class. What an amazing way to start the day.
The day will then have a selection of fitness classes available and meals together. There is also an opportunity to go and do some local exploring on your bike if you wish - Ask Gilly or Anastasia (the guest house owner) for some ideas.
Another early start if you wish - to start the hike up Mount Dikeos before it gets too hot. So breakfast is highly recommended and then you will jump in the organised transportation to the mountain village of Zia. From the there you will begin your hike up to the highest point of the island to experience the incredible views.
The hike is a moderate level, for those trail runners, it is possible to run and signposted reasonably well. When in Zia, you will have time to enjoy the village, go shopping, go for a coffee, maybe visit the nature park, see what takes your fancy.
After leaving Zia, you will return back to the Asklipion Valley Guest House. During the evening there will be a selection of fitness classes available.
It’s not so early today, start the day with a fitness class and then time to get on the way to your chosen activity (an additional cost may be incurred depending on your activity).
At the beginning of the week you will have booked with Gilly the activity, this could be horse riding, which is a horse ride at sunset which means the rest of the day is yours. You may have chosen to do some SUP yoga, which means you will be taken a journey to the opposite end of the island to incredible village of Kefalos. You may want to learn something new, a windsurfing lesson is available, or if you are a seasoned windsurfer, they can arrange the rental of the equipment. Kos is famous of windsurfing.
Or you may feel you have done too much exercise and a bit of pampering is in order, that's where the traditional Artemis Hamam comes in. The hamam has many packages available that you can choose from. You could spend an hour there or you could spend all day there. Or you may find that these activities aren't for you and you want to have a lazy day, they will direct you to the local beaches.
Last day of activities, so you will start the day off right with sunrise Pilates or yoga and then throughout the day there will be a selection of fitness classes. However the classes will finish early as you will head to Kos town early evening to sample the local cuisine in the harbour. This is also a great opportunity to get those last minute gifts to take home.
Departure day, it’s time to say farewell. You will say goodbye and you will hop on your transfer to the airport. They will be sad to see you go but hopefully you will enjoy the retreat so much you will return.
A bike ride to the Islands natural spa/springs. Therma beach is approximately 16km ride from our Retreat. The route takes you on an incredible journey giving you some incredible photo opportunities eventually reaching our destination. he hot springs are a real treasure containing elements such as Potassium, Sodium, Calcium, Magnesium, Sulfur and Chlorine ideal treatments for rheumatism, arthritis and any gynecological related issues. The route is a bit challenging in places but definitely not unachievable for those that like to keep fit. There are some up hill moments, but remember, for every up hill, we have to come down at some point, giving you some time to recuperate. In total the route is approximately 32 kilometer there and back, but half way we get to have a well deserved break, where you get to soak up the benefits the natural spring has to offer.
A Hike to the highest point of the island, Dikeos mountain. Heading of from the picturesque mountain village of Zia, we begin our accent up Dikeos mountain to reach the highest peak of 846 m. To some this may not seem very high, however, the views at the top of Dikeos are incredible. On a perfectly clear day there is the prospect of seeing all the way to Samos Island which is around 90 km away, so even on a less clear day to views of the neighbouring islands and Turkey are out of this world. The route itself will take approxiumately 2 hours up and 2 hours down, take as long as you want at the top. You will venture through nature, taking in all that the hiking spots have to offer. On the return to Zia, you will have the opportunity to explore the village, look around the shops and relax in one of the villages amazing cafes or restaurants.
Victory Fitness was founded by Gilly in 2015. She was always a keen sports woman in her younger days but whilst serving in the British Forces she discovered her passion for fitness and performance. She spent many years developing her skills in order to launch herself as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor. Whilst serving she gained her Level 3 Personal Training qualification, but this was not quite good enough for her, so she went on to complete a BSc(Hons) in Sport, Fitness and Coaching plus a number of other fitness qualifications, including becoming a Pilates instructor.
The retreat will happen at the Asklipion Valley Guest House, approximately 4.5 kilometers away from Kos town. The guest house is set in stunning gardens with incredible sea and mountain views, the perfect setting to wind down.
The island has adopted some fascinating names such as “The garden of the Aegean”, for its wealth of water and crops, as well as “The island of Hippocrates” for having given birth to the most famous doctor in history. Kos is known to be an excellent starting point for exploring the Dodecanese Islands or neighbouring Turkey.
Kos is 43 kilometers long and 2 kilometers wide at the narrowest point, up to a maximum of 6 kilometers at its widest point. It is the third island of the Dodecanese for size and the second for population. Its close proximity to the coasts of Turkey and more precisely to the ancient city of Halicarnassus, now known as Bodrum, makes it particularly fascinating as it offers an interesting combination of eastern and western elements.
Even though Kos is known for its tourism, it has done well in maintaining its soul. Escaping from the tourists is easily done, and you will always manage to find a hidden away beach.
Mediterranean cuisine will be served.
Where possible the food will be organic and locally produced and definitely freshly made.
Tea, coffee, water, and soft drinks will be catered for. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available.

And, if non of these activities take your fancy you are free to organise your own day, maybe you want a beach day or fancy a shopping trip to Turkey, the day is yours to explore as you wish. All activities on this day will not be included in the price of the retreat. But be sure to take time to rest and absorb the beauty of the island and the guest house gardens.
