They offer you a beautiful oasis "VIDYAMOR" to experience different types of cleansing and detox techniques in combination with raw food in a very protected surrounding to heal body, mind, and soul. As there's only one guest house, you have the great opportunity to enjoy the oasis without other visitors! Accommodation
During your holiday, you will stay in the cozy and lovely designed guest house with ocean view, own veranda, and bathroom. Surrounded by flowers and fruit trees, Vidyamor La Palma's one and only guest house is accessible by a 7-minute walking trail and has a :
- double bed and a single bed that can be used as a couch
- a small raw food kitchen
- a wood stove with a glass to watch the fire instead of TV
- air conditioned rooms
- an own veranda with deck chairs
- a private lawn for sunbathing with a hammock next to it
- and last but not least an en-suite bathroom (with a booking board and lodging are for free) .
Program
On the arrival day Vidyamor La Palma will welcome you with a delicious raw food dinner with fresh salad, avocados, sprouted grain bread, olives, and herbal tea.
On the first day on you fasting there will ve an introduction with a lot of information and tips about how to improve your health.
In the morning at the time you choose, Vidyamor La Palma will bring your fasting menu for the whole day. About 30 minutes later, you'll start with the detox treatments of your choice. After a break, you can do some wellness or another treatment if you wish, go for a walk or a little trip to explore the beautiful island, or just relax in the romantic oasis.
Many people feel burned out by their everyday routine, empty, and dissatisfied. Few people pay attention to these signs and wonder why, after years, they have - for no apparent reason - physical ailments, including chronic illnesses. Since a large part (approximately 80%) of our entire immune system is in the intestine, its purification can be regarded as an important basis for an intact immune defence, more vitality, and increased well-being. For this purpose, effective and painless intestinal irritation can solve decades-old residues and hardened deposits.
The associated fruit and juice fasting can support the body in the detoxification and normalize the acid-base balance which is denatured by denatured foods, such as white sugar, white flour, excessive meat consumption, or by stress out of balance. In addition, the "wisdom of the east" yoga can help you gain strength, flexibility, and balance. For this purpose, body and breathing exercises are learned and practiced.
The withdrawal from everyday routine and the concomitant need for consumerism opens up new freedom which can give you inspiration and creativity. The goal of the purification retreat, in addition to the physical aspect, is a spiritual foundation for a (possible) new beginning.

Instructors
Olay Bowald
Olay traveled many years over all the continents of Mother Earth. He must have been a yogi in his past life as many of the asanas he played as a game when he was a child. In various workshops around the globe, he practiced his skills in the different disciplines of yoga. In the year 2006, he stopped traveling and grew roots on the Canarian Island of La Palma where he founded together with Yamuna "Vidyamor", an oasis for fasting detox retreats, wellness, and yoga. Since 2004, he is mostly eating living food only.
Yamuna Riedemann
After reaching the titles of a naturopath and Reiki master Yamuna traveled for several years around the globe. In the Shivananda Ashram in Kerala /India she got her yoga teacher certificate. In the year 2006 she founded together with Olay "Vidyamor" ~an oasis for fasting retreats and naturopathy, Wellness and Yoga. Since this time she focused on many different types of cleansing and detox techniques in combination with raw food.
Location
The romantic beauty of the valley where the oasis is situated is one of the main highlights of La Palma for many guest. It invites you to recharge your energy. The wild and secluded location of the flower and fruit tree oasis offers the sheltered setting to devote yourself intensively for cleansing, renewal, and healing.

Food
On the arrival day Vidyamor La Palma will welcome you with a delicious raw food dinner with fresh salad, avocados, sprouted grain bread, olives, and herbal tea. During the six days of your fasting diet, Vidyamor La Palma provides a cleansing fasting menu consisting of organic fruits and vegetables, juices, and detox tea for the whole day to support the detoxification of the body.
There will be 2 mono meals every day that means you can, for example, eat as many mangoes as you want but no mixing of different types of fruit. So it is easier to digest and you will feel when you have enough of it. There will be no starving like in other types of fasting. It is a beautiful experience to eat for some time the food in its pure form as mother nature provides it for us. Together with the 2 mono meals, Vidyamor will serve you 3 different types of juices and one liter of detox tea every day.
On the sixth day of fasting, Vidyamor La Palma will add some avocados to break the fast. On the departure day, Vidyamor La Palma will provide you some fruits, nuts and dried fruits for your traveling.

Hiking
You can start hiking straight away from your house to the amazing viewpoint "Torre del Time" on the edge of the Caldera de Taburiente, a huge inactive volcano crater with a diameter of 10 kilometers. If you have much energy, you can continue to hike until the "Roque de Los Muchachos", with nearly 2,500 meters above sea level, the highest point of La Palma. If you more a beach bum, you can go to Playa de Tazacorte, the sunniest place in Europe.
