The program focuses a lot of attention on metabolic rate and how we can improve our body’s natural metabolic rate. The program also emphasizes detoxing, digestive cleansing, and removal of toxins which aid in long-term weight loss.
A simple adjustment like starting the day with a hot lime water preparation goes a long way. Through the use of food, oils, therapies and Ayurveda medicine, and a set routine, the retreat aims to recondition the body into a weight loss zone.
There will be an initial consultation with Dr. Janaka Samaraweera, an ayurvedic specialist who is a member of the Srilanka Ayurveda council.
After conducting an analysis of your body, he will come up with a weight loss plan with regard to what ayurvedic therapies and massages to use as well as what ayurvedic medicines to use.
Your day starts at 7:30 a.m. with a herbal drink followed by an hour of yoga and meditation. After breakfast which is at 9 a.m., the Ayurvedic therapies and massages of the day will begin.
The ayurvedic medicines used are all made from natural herbs and the meal plan will be a vegetarian one.
