Day 1: Arrival in Rennes
The capital of Brittany has many architectural treasures: the Parliament of Brittany, half-timbered houses, and Tabor’s beautiful garden. Night in a three-star hotel in Rennes.
Day 2: Rennes - Hédé
- Distance: 44 kilometers / 28 miles
- Elevation: +285 meters / +935 feet and -220 meters / -722 feet
You quickly reach a secure path along the Rance River to the direction of the 11 Locks of Hédé. A bucolic and shady route along the canal. Night and dinner in a two-star hotel in Hédé.
Day 3: Hédé - Dinan
- Distance: 40 kilometers / 25 miles
- Elevation: +260 meters / +853 feet and -280 meters / -919 feet
Your cycling trip follows on along the green lane to Tinténiac, Evran, the Léhon abbey, and then Dinan. This medieval town is surrounded by ramparts with half-timbered houses and cobbled streets. Here, you can imagine the furious battles of knights. Night in a three-star hotel in Dinan.
Day 4: Dinan - Saint-Malo

- Elevation: +120 meters / +394 feet and -190 meters / -624 feet
Near Dinan, you will first reach the lovely village of Taden. Then, you will take an old railway line to connect the elegant seaside village of Dinard with its marvelous villas. VISIT OUEST suggests you visit this city before the boat crossing. At the end of the afternoon, you cross the Rance River by boat (10 minutes) to reach the old walled city of Saint-Malo. Night in a two-star hotel in Saint-Malo.
Day 5: Saint-Malo - Cancale

After breakfast, free time in the morning in Saint-Malo (you can discover its historical city center in the afternoon: the walled city, the ramparts, Saint-Servan harbor). Then, close to Saint-Malo, go discover the beauty of the Emerald Coast, its sandy coves, creeks, and peaks like the famous Pointe du Grouin. Arrival at Cancale, a famous oyster harbor. Night in a two-star hotel in Cancale.
Day 6: Cancale - Mont-Saint-Michel
- Distance: 44 kilometers / 28 miles
- Elevation: +70 meters / +230 feet and -70 meters / -230 feet
Today, prepare yourself to cycle through Mont Saint-Michel Bay and the heart of its polders. Then, you will cycle towards small villages perched on older cliffs: Rozsur-Couesnon, Saint-Broladre, etc. before getting Beauvoir-sur-Mer. Night in a three-star hotel in Mont-Saint-Michel (2.4 kilometers before Mont Saint Michel / 35-minute walk).
Day 7: Mont-Saint-Michel and departure

About the tour
During this cycling route, you will discover many treasures hidden at the bend of a path: castles, fishing harbors, historic city centers, etc. The history of Brittany takes place before your eyes. From the capital of Brittany, you travel on the secure route along the towpath to reach the cities of art and history of Dinan then Saint-Malo. The Emerald Coast with its beautiful fine sandy beaches then opens up before you discover the immense bay of Mont Saint-Michel and its famous abbey perched on a rock.

Beginning of the trip: day one in the afternoon in the hotel in Rennes (the hotel is 700 meters from the SNCF train station). End: day seven at the hotel in La Caserne after breakfast.

Luggage
One bag or suitcase per person of 13 kilograms maximum labeled with your name, transported (e) at each step. Carriers may refuse a second bag per person or a bag exceeding 13 kilograms. Provide a backpack for your business of the day.
Bike rental (five days)
You can rent 21-gear-trekking bikes (male and female), always including one handlebar bag, map holder, bottle holder, pump and repair kit, cable lock, and helmet. Electric bikes are also available. Bikes are available at the hotel by 9:00 a.m. on the first day of the stage (day two in the itinerary). You will return the bikes to the hotel at the end of the last stage.
