This Mindfulness weekend is filled with nourishing, soothing, energizing and grounding yoga practices to suit all levels, including Mindful Yin yoga, Mindful Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Restorative / Gentle Yin with the most delicious soothing gong bath sound healing therapy, yoga Nidra meditation, pranayama, and myofascial release, as well as mindful walks to Lud’s Church, a natural stone cleft sliced into the hillside above Gradbach, and further exploring of the local area.
Mindfulness practices of yoga, meditation, and sound healing (Nada yoga) are designed to reduce stress and promote relaxation, allowing you to focus on your own wellbeing. The mindful walks to Lud's Church provide an opportunity to connect with nature and take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Legend has it that Lud’s Church, a natural stone cleft sliced into the hillside above Gradbach, was the inspiration for Sir Gawain and the Green Knight—a medieval tale of chivalry, bravery, and honor.
Start your day by joining (optional) a morning wild water dip in the River Dane. It is said that the benefits of wild water dipping include improved circulation, increased energy levels, improved physical strength, and improved mental clarity.
Additionally, the sights and sounds of being in nature can have a calming and restorative effect, helping reduce stress and anxiety as you breathe into the refreshing and revitalizing flowing waters, and once settled (yes, having got past the initial shock), allow your heightened senses to take in the views of the beautiful landscape and feel even closer to nature.
Gorgeous home-cooked vegetarian food and plenty of it, combined with fresh air and a chance to explore, can also help to reduce stress levels and promote relaxation. The stunning location, yoga, and mindfulness practices, including a mindful walk in the countryside, can be calming and uplifting. The weekend provides a much-needed physical, mental, and emotional recharge from your daily life.
Just a 45-minute drive from Manchester Airport, 22 minutes from Macclesfield Station, and 1.35 hours from Birmingham airport.
