Day 1: Welcome to Cairo

Located down the Nile, approximately 540 miles (or 870 kilometers) south of Cairo, Aswan has been known for millennia as the “gateway to Africa.” It may not draw the crowds of Cairo or boast as many open-air antiquities of Luxur, but there’s a certain exotic air about Aswan that visitors fall for very fast. After all, a traveler can catch a dose of the chaos of Cairo in Aswan’s busy, narrow backstreets, but just as easily discover a bucolic side to this southern Nile city.

Aswan is home to granite quarries that produced many of the obelisks found in Luxor and other ancient Egyptian sites (as well as the obelisks that are in Rome today) and visitors can stroll through the quarries to see some unfinished versions, including one that was meant to be the world’s biggest. Agatha Christie aficionados can find the hotel where she wrote “Death on the Nile '' here. And various temples and ancient structures loom outside of Aswan, waiting to be explored.

Visit nearby Elephantine Island, situated smack in the middle of the island-speckled Nile, to explore the Nubile villages, small but vibrant mud-brick settlements, bathed in blue, oozing with a cool energy. Aswan is home to a large segment of Nubians and visitors can learn more at the Nubian Museum in central Aswan.

Transfer to BenBen Hotel (3 nights)

BenBen Hotel is a dare-to-be different destination, conveniently nestled on the old Nubian island of Heissa, overlooking the serene city of Aswan and prioritizing the natural environment by applying the best ecological practices. This hotel, as an idea, was built with a passion for its beautiful location, the peace that exists here, and to offer something unique. The exceptional Nubian-style architecture and the majestic panoramic natural surroundings make this eco-friendly hotel the absolute recharging hideaway to discover your most refreshed self.

Opening ceremony

In the evening, the program will begin with an opening ceremony and meditation. Join in for a delicious welcome dinner as Kierstie Payge will introduce you to the rich culture and wonders of Egypt.

Day 2: Island of Isis

Rise early for a serene yoga session at sunrise, followed by breakfast. The group will then journey to the ancient Island of Isis, where meditation will be held to connect with its powerful energy before exploring the temple that was relocated to a new island. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely lunch together followed by some free time to relax. Guests may also indulge in a spa treatment at their leisure. As the day winds down, everyone will gather for a sunset meditation to reflect on the experiences of the day.

Overnight at BenBen Hotel.

Day 3: Explore Aswan

Start the day with another peaceful yoga session at dawn, followed by breakfast. You will then explore the vibrant city of Aswan, enjoy a traditional Felucca boat ride along the Nile, and visit the local bazaar for some shopping. Lunch will be served on an island with views of the Temple of Isis. The afternoon is free to relax at the sanctuary, and in the evening, we’ll come together for a sharing circle.

Overnight at BenBen Hotel.

Day 4: Nun Dahabiya

Check out from BenBen Hotel and check in at Nun Dahabiya for a 3-night stay.

The Nun Dahabiya has just 8 cabins, offering tranquil cruises along the Nile. The ship’s aesthetic combines modern Egyptian culture with 7,000 years of design heritage. Add gourmet cuisine and sightseeing with the country’s most experienced Egyptologist, and you have a truly unique and luxurious experience on a timeless river.

The sun deck includes private lounge chairs, perfect for relaxing while taking in the surroundings. One of National Geographic's “journeys of a lifetime,” the Nile tour is now more luxurious than ever, transformed with every detail attended to.

Experiences and activities: Cruise itineraries include incredible three-night cruises between Luxor and Aswan along the epic Nile River departing either from Luxor or Aswan.

Half-day activity: Kom Ombo Temple

After the morning yoga session and breakfast, the group will board a sailboat for a two-hour journey along the Nile. The boat will stop to visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, where guests will explore the ancient Egyptian concepts of duality and polarity. After returning to the boat, the sailing will continue as everyone immerses themselves in the river’s feminine energy. In the evening, a sunset meditation will be followed by dinner onboard.

Day 5: Half-day activity at Horus Temple at Edfu

Start the day with a meditation and yoga session, followed by breakfast. In the afternoon, the group will visit the magnificent Temple of Edfu to explore the concept of masculine energy in ancient Egypt. As the sun sets, everyone will gather for a final meditation before enjoying dinner onboard.

Overnight at Nun Dahabiya.

Day 6: Day at Leisure

This is a day of integration. No sacred site visits are planned, allowing you time to reflect and relax. In the evening, you’ll enjoy a BBQ dinner on a peaceful island before sailing towards Luxor. Overnight at Nun Dahabiya.

Day 7:

Check out from Nun Dahabiya and disembark early in the morning to visit the magnificent Karnak Temple, before heading to the airport for the flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, the group will explore the Pyramids area and enjoy some time to unwind at the hotel before the closing ceremony.

The flight will depart from Luxor and arrive in Cairo. Set on the banks of the Nile, Cairo is a sprawling metropolis of over 9 million people, making it the largest in Africa and the Arab world. The capital city, this ‘city of a thousand minarets,' has existed for more than 1,000 years on its present site and, in addition to its vibrant economy, presents a fascinating dichotomy of the East and the West, the modern and the ancient.

The high-rise hotels overlooking the Nile contrast with the Pyramids of Giza and the Obelisk of Heliopolis that stand to the south and north respectively. As well as the Giza Pyramids complex, the city also contains the Sphinx, the world's oldest and biggest statue, and the house of mummification at the Valley temple.

Around the modern center, the old, medieval quarters of the city are filled with spice-filled markets, bazaars, mosques, and tradespeople. Not only does Cairo hold the biggest mass media center and film and music production hub of the Middle East, but it's also home to the Arab League and the second oldest institution of higher learning, the Al-Azhar University.

Check in at The St. Regis Cairo: The St. Regis Cairo draws guests to the heart of Egypt's timeless metropolis, weaving a powerful new story of luxury in the region with unprecedented local heritage and outstanding views of the Nile and Old Cairo. The riverfront hotel stands as a pivotal landmark with its 36 stories, gracefully designed for those who are only inspired by the unexpected by the renowned architect Michael Graves.

Great Pyramid of Giza private access

In the evening, the group will have exclusive access to the Great Pyramid for a truly special closing experience.

Day 8: Departures

Enjoy a farewell breakfast together before preparing for the flight home. It is recommended to book a departure ticket in the afternoon for a smooth and relaxed conclusion to the journey.

Sadly, it's time to say goodbye! Today you will connect with your international departure flight in Cairo back home. Check out from The St. Regis Cairo and transfer to Cairo International Airport.
