Starting from January 1st, 2010, Yoga Temple India is happy to offer absolutely great accommodation at a reasonable price. Located in Rishikesh, far from noisy streets and crowds in a newly built building, they offer single, shared twin, shared double, family suite, and comfortable dormitory rooms. This type of accommodation will help you to relax and concentrate on your priorities of training.

There are a total of 12 air-conditioned and 4 non-air-conditioned rooms. Most of the rooms have a wonderful view of the Himalayan Mountains. Each room has a big private bathroom and equipped with the following facilities:

Guests will have the choice to stay at Yoga Temple India's retreat center or the hotel. If guests book in the hotel, the classes will be held in Ashram (500 meters from the hotel). Yoga Temple India provides free transportation till there and back. If you book a stay in the retreat center, your classes will take place at the same place and Ashram nearby.

Meditation Teacher Training in Rishikesh

Yoga Temple India conducts 200 hours of Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Programs designed to create a group of universal healers extending their services to fellow humans that are suffering and need the solace of body and peace of mind. Towards this end, Yoga Temple India's courses include both theories and practical experiences and you will learn the best classic as well as contemporary yoga practices in the process.

The school

The Yoga Temple India was founded by Hari Kishan Ji. Their yoga teacher training program’s schedule is designed in a very balanced way that keeps the student in contemplation of the subject throughout the day and also allows them to have personal time.

Overview of the course contents:

Preparatory practices:

  • Asanas: as a preparation for meditation, a gentle restorative yoga will be taught two times in a day. This helps the body supple, improve muscular relaxation.
  • Pranayama: breath regulation techniques. Pranayama has two aspects, breath regulation and breath observation. Pranayama is very important aspect of meditation practice. Pranayama removes the impurities of the mind and prepares the mind for meditation. It integrates the emotional personality and helps to collect oneself to dive deep in during meditation. It is a rewarding technique to detoxify the body and mind reach the inner realms of awareness.
  • Mudra practices: Mudras are attitude of energy flow in the body. The position of the hands while practicing a meditational technique is very important. Mudras are a combination of subtle physical movements which alter the mood, attitude and perception and which deepens awareness and concentration. Mudras enable the meditation practitioner to develop awareness of the flow of prana, the Life force Energy in the body. Ultimately they establish pranic balance with in the body and redirect the subtle energy to the upper chakras, inducing higher states of consciousness.
  • Kriyas: Daily practice of Therapeutic Yoga which include: Neti- Yogic nostril cleansing, Trataka- Gazing the flame to improve concentration. Shambhavi mudra- preparatory practice for Third Eye Meditations.

Meditation-friendly diet

The diet plays an important role in meditation practice. As the well known proverb goes “the man is what he eats”- the food we consume influences our mind. This course focuses on Yogic or sattvic diet. Which makes meditation easy.

Energy anatomy

Energy Anatomy includes Energy Body (Pranic body), Nadis (Energy channels) Chakras (Energy centers) theoretical framework, and application of its principles in Meditation practices. Benefits of opening the Naadis, and Chakras through Meditation practices. Healthy energy movement within the body, characteristics of a person whose chakras are opened. Kundalini system and kundalini awakening meditation techniques.

  • Various operational Definitions of meditation, its roots, its theory, its aim and goals. The myths and misconceptions about meditations.

Practicum

Includes practice teaching, receiving feedback, observing others teaching and hearing/giving feedback. Also includes assisting students while someone else is teaching.

Included excursions

During the course, according to weather, road conditions, and amount of students, Yoga Temple India will offer different types of excursions in Himalaya and Rishikesh including visiting a spiritual temple in Himalaya, meditation in a cave under the guidance of an experienced teacher, visit Ganga Aarti, waterfalls, and Bealtes Ashram.

Sometimes excursion can be changed or replaced with an equal offer if the conditions of weather or any other issue took place.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL). From there, you can book a domestic flight to arrive at Dehradun Airport (DED). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

Arrival by taxi

You can take a taxi from either airport or take the transport package, which covers the cost from Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) to Rishikesh by taxi and back after completion of the course.

Arrival by train

You can take a train for Haridwar from New Delhi Railway Station. From Haridwar, there are many transport facilities available to reach Rishikesh.
