You will be walking the 770 kilometers (480 miles) of the “Camino Frances”, starting from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port in the French Pyrenees walking through the north of Spain all the way to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia.

This tour will start in the French border town of Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, from where it crosses the Pyrenees Mountains offering an astonishing beginning to your trip. Normally, pilgrims take five to six weeks to walk the full French way.

This route has been followed by pilgrims for over a thousand years. The Camino attracts both spiritual and secular travelers. Pilgrims come to walk the Camino for many reasons: spiritual enlightenment, adventure, freedom and the beauty of the path.

You will be walking an average of 10 to 15 miles per day for as many days as your tour is. It is very important to point out that you do not have to walk at a certain pace, you will be walking at your own pace and stopping as many times as you decide.

This tour is self-guided, this means that you will be walking each stage by yourself or with other people you meet along the way or the group members, this is entirely your decision. The tour guide will provide you with a map of each walking stage every morning and meet you at the end of your stage, there will also be meeting points throughout the way to make sure you are doing okay.

Every stage may be completed in three to four hours depending on your walking pace or the different breaks you take throughout the way. The tour guide will be within reach to support you as needed throughout the day, even if you decide to ride all the way to the next meeting point.
