8 jours à moto au Kirghizistan
Kyrgyzstan Motorcycle Tour
Huge, snow-capped mountains, narrow canyons, pristine turquoise lakes, endless grasslands, and semi-deserts: it’s not for nothing that Kyrgyzstan, with its breathtaking natural beauty, is called the Switzerland of Asia. Before the 6 challenging days through rough terrain, we’ll explore Bishkek and try the best restaurants and bars in the capital. Once we leave the city, we ride from asphalt to varied terrain, climbing up to 3,500 metres on a route planned by our local guides. For most of the ride, we’ll be off-road on Japanese 250cc enduro bikes, perfect for the playful terrain.

3 nights in a 4* hotel in Bishkek, 2 nights in a good quality 3-star hotel, 1 night in a guest house, 1 night in a comfortable, cosy yurt camp. The rooms are always twins, they don't put two adults in a double bed together.
Programme
As you wander through the mountain ranges of Tien Shan, passes, canyons, and high mountain lakes, there will also be an opportunity to learn about the ancient Middle-Asian culture, as many people still live in yurts and lead a semi-nomadic lifestyle. GoBeyond will have a chance to experience it during a night in an authentic yurt camp while enjoying the excellent local hospitality.
Passing native herdsmen, yak herds, and wild horses, you will finally return to the capital, where participants can recover from the rough terrain and relax together for one more evening before heading home with everlasting memories.
Day 1 - Arrival
Arrival at Manas Airport, followed by a quick nap in the hotel and a short city tour in Bishkek. You will visit the heart of the city, Ala-Too Square, and its monuments. Afterwards, there will be a chance to enjoy a walk in Oak Park, one of the locals’ favorite places, before visiting the Osh bazaar, where you can immerse yourself in the vibrant oriental atmosphere filled with endless crowds and a great variety of goods and colors. In the evening, you will dine at one of the best restaurants in Bishkek, tasting Kyrgyz specialties.
Day 2 - Acclimatizing in the Mountains
You will drive through the Kyrgyz Range located near Bishkek, enjoying the views of magnificent gorges at high altitudes. The unpaved, serpentine road ahead will lead up to 2,200 meters, where you can enjoy the fresh mountain air among flowering herbs before returning to your hotel in Bishkek.
Day 3 - Across Mountains and Valleys
On the third day, you will cross the highest point of the road, a 3,500-meter pass, entering an alpine valley dotted with pastures and wildflowers—a paradise for local nomads and their cattle. Later, you will switch to a country road and continue along the Kokemeren River, which winds through red clay-covered mountains, until reaching Kyzyl Oy, a small village with a special atmosphere due to its red clay houses. Here, you will enjoy local food before resting after a long day.
Day 4 - Yurt Camp
The goal of the fourth day is to reach Song Kul Lake, located at an altitude of 3,000 meters. On the way, you will pass through beautiful vastlands, spotting yaks and other herds. The lake, which appears small from the 3,300-meter high pass, soon spreads out in all its glory. Upon arriving at the yurt camp, you will experience the nomads' way of life, customs, and hospitality. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at the yurt camp.
Day 5 - The Toughest Day
The hardest day of the tour, but perhaps also the most spectacular, lies ahead. You will climb up another pass and follow a mountain stream winding through extensive pine forests, then descend an earth ridge toward the south, in the direction of China. After lunch, it's uphill and downhill again in similar surroundings before covering the last kilometers of the day on a paved and relaxed road to Naryn, where you can enjoy another hot shower after a busy day, have dinner in town, and rest in a comfortable hotel.
Day 6 - Kochkor – Turasuu – Kara Talaa – Chon Kemin
In the first half of the day, you will enjoy off-road terrain as gravel and dirt roads turn into wide, grass-covered mountain meadows. After an outdoor lunch, the journey will continue along the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, winding on paved roads toward Chon Kemin Gorge, where a cozy mountain guesthouse awaits. In the evening, you will enjoy traditional Kyrgyz dishes with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and meadows.
Day 7 - Chon Kemin – Bishkek
The road from Chon Kemin to Bishkek will traverse mountain roads with a bit of off-road driving. For lunch, you will visit a local Dungan (Chinese) family to observe the lives of local people, and after a rest, you will continue through mountain serpentines to Bishkek.
Day 8 - Flying Home
A transfer will take you to the airport, where you will fly home with unforgettable memories and new friendships.
The program is subject to change at any time. The final itinerary will depend on current weather conditions and your endurance.
Riding gear
Every rider must bring their own motorcycle protective gear and helmet. GoBeyond does not recommend wearing leather motorbike suits as the group will not be riding fast, and the weather will mostly be warm. It’s a good idea to wear either durable high-top hiking boots, real biking boots, or even dirt bike boots. GoBeyond strongly recommends bringing good protective gear, as small falls can occur while riding off-road. It’s advisable to have a mesh layer of gear (for use in hotter locations) with the option to add a windbreaker or waterproof layer. Bringing two pairs of gloves is useful as well, in case a change is necessary. Additionally, packing thermal underwear is a good idea, just in case, though it's probably not needed at this time of year. GoBeyond’s official motorbike gear partner is FUEL, where riders can gear up for Mongolia with a special discount code available for GoBeyond guests.
Local transportation
Airport transfer on arrival and departure, backup-van for the off-road tour. The tour is conducted with 250cc Honda CRF enduro bikes. Suzuki DR-Z 400 motorbikes are also available on request and for an additional charge.
Activities and sights
In addition to the special off-road motorbike tour through the diverse Kyrgyz landscape, you’ll experience the unique nomadic lifestyle, culture, and cuisine of the locals firsthand. We ride on lonely roads through untouched landscapes, where the only animals you’ll see are yaks, wild horses, and eagles.
