Yogacharya Manish Arora
Yogacharya Manish Arora is a founder of Yoganandham (A School of Yoga Learning). He is well known and loved for the classes he teaches such as yoga philosophy, Hatha yoga, and teaching methodology sessions for yoga teacher training students. His aim is to teach ancient and authentic teaching methods of yoga practice in the traditional yoga styles which bring the essence of mastery. Yogi Manish teaches with all his experience and knowledge to all the yoga learners with humility and sincerity, but also with positive thoughts and meticulousness.
Ayurvedacharya G.L. Arora
Dr. G.L Arora is one of the famous Ayurvedic doctors in Rishikesh. He has experience of more than 40 years in teaching Ayurveda. He has been teaching Ayurveda in different universities and colleges in India and abroad.
Tanvi Dang
A doctor by profession, she is a master in anatomy and Ayurveda with 5 years of experience.
Vaibhav Arora
Vaibhav Arora is a meditation and pranayama teacher at Yoganandham Rishikesh. Immersed in yogic practices from an early age, Vaibhav has been on the path of yoga and spirituality since childhood. Being born and raised in a traditional family in northern India gave him the surroundings that naturally led him to a yogic lifestyle.
Kamal Singh Kaintura
Yogi Kamal Singh is one of the most well-known teachers in Rishikesh. At Yoganandham, he is loved for his dynamic stretching classes and dynamic Ashtanga classes. He started his journey of yoga in 2010 when he completed his diploma in yogic science. He has vast experience teaching various classes such as Hatha yoga, stretching classes, Ashtanga yoga, and adjustment and alignment classes to students of different age groups. Yogi Kamal Singh is appreciated by his students for his dynamic style and precise adjustments that add a new dimension to their asana practice.

Complete Care
Without question the best thing about Yoganandham is the people. The whole team created an experience beyond expectation to deepen my yoga practice through development of asanas, pranayama, meditation, and the ayurvedic treatments. The level of knowledge and professionalism is evident in each of the practitioners and I felt confident and motivated under their skillful guidance. The kitchen team and support staff are equally as dedicated, and it shows in the lovingly prepared meals (which are delicious) and the beautifully tended grounds and facilities.
I am deeply grateful for my time at Yoganandham and would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone considering!

I had a wonderful and memorable week in Yoganandham.
In a pieceful village surrounded by mountains, it felt magical to wake up with this view and freshness.
Accommodation is very good, the bed is super comfortable. I especially liked the style of the room, with pillows on the floor and with a beautiful Shiva painting above the bed.
Much gratitude to the all team, their friendly attitude and support. The ayurvedic treatments were precise and effective, I felt very supported by Manish and his father and had positive shifts in my health after 1 week. Massages by Pritti were amazing, she is very gifted.
Special thanks to Vaibhav, Kamal and Manish for sharing authentic knowledge of yoga, pranayama and meditation.
Ayurvedic meals made by experienced chefs Kapil and Rama were delicious and fulfilling.
Would definitely come back for a longer stay.

Inspiring time with wonderful people
The Yogandham yoga retreat is a truly wonderful example of how it is people who determine the feel-good factor. The programme is very well tailored to the duration of each retreat. I found the introduction to yoga philosophy, meditation and learning different breathing techniques particularly enriching. The yoga teachers Manish, Kamal & Vaibhav were very sensitive to the needs of the small group (we were 4 ladies on site).
The free Sunday was used for a sunrise trip to the temple and sightseeing in Rishikesh - many thanks at this point to Rama, who accompanied us the whole day, and to Manish. He welcomed us into his home and together with his family we took part in the Ganga Aarti ceremony - a very touching experience.
Thank you RAMA for the delicious food you were preparing each day. I loved the fresh fruits in the morning…,your special fruit-juices….the soups 🤩
Thank you Vaibhav for taking care about the transfers and coordinate also the change of drivers an the way back to Delhi.

Meditation was my main goal. And fys and mental relaxation!
De meditatie lessen waren heel leerrijk, ik heb veel bijgeleerd wat ik thuis kan verder oefenen. Ook de pranayama was heel nuttig en is nodig om bepaalde zaken te activeren of stress te verminderen. De detox wou ik ook proberen omdat ik wel lichamelijke klachten had die niet te verklaren waren. Zoals spierspanning en gewrichtsklachten. Spierspanning is echt verbeterd daar maar sommige gewrichtsklachten zijn gewoon slijtage van het kraakbeen bv aan knie (meniscus scheuren)en heupen (heupdyslasie waarvoor regelmatig infiltraties)Dat komt door mijn zware job als verpleegkundige en weekend nooit gerust. Maar ginder ben ik echt tot rust gekomen, dat had ik ook eens nodig. Ook de therapie was zalig, elke dag full body massage, soms stoombad,...
Ook de darmreiniging was eens nodig bij mij denk ik. Ik heb ginder geen ene keer een opgezette buik gehad zoals thuis, ook geen diarree. Heel gezonde lekkere voeding waar ik thuis zeker ga mee verder doen!!! Ik heb goeie tips gekregen van de dr ivm met mijn dosha type, wat wel of niet te eten of wanneer best. Ook nog paar kruiden mee gekregen om thuis mijn behandeling verder te zetten. Blijkbaar gaat alles nog een paar maanden verder de goede richting uit. Ik ben gemotiveerd, en als er iets was kon ik een aantal mensen contacteren ❤️

Tonic for the Soul- An Incredible Experience!
My experience with Yoganandham started before I boarded the plane to India. Vaibhav was on hand to answer my queries daily and provide insights and guidance as to what lay ahead.
I had looked at a number of retreats but felt confident with my choice to book for 28 days.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with the warmest of welcome from the team. As a fist time participant, I was nervous about attending classes but the instructors were gentle yet encouraging so that all participants felt like they were pushing themselves beyond their comfort zones, all without pressure.
The rooms are very comfortable, the WiFi strength is strong, the place is very green clean.
Manish the programme director is always on hand, nothing is too much to ask for. The same with Doctor Tanvi who will call and message you to check on you if you've the slightest of ailments.
Preeti, our female therapist, has been blessed with the hands of an angel, her massages are incomparable.
Chef Kapil and Rana in the kitchen, will dance and sing joy, flavour and love into each meal, as a non veggie, I can say I haven't missed meat at all.
I've nothing but praise for this retreat, so much so, I extended my stay.
Thank you to the whole team, I truly feel cleansed from the inside and I look forward to the continued benefits of my programme long after my departure.

It was a great experience!
It was the best yoga retreat! 5 days went by so quickly and I wished it was longer. The teachers and the staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was at home. They took us to an excursion to experience a local life, which is not all yoga retreat would offer. That helped me to get acquainted and bond with other students. The classes were excellent and I learned a lot in a short period of time. I was very happy with what they offer and what I got to experience there. Highly recommended!

Une belle retraite à rishikesh !
Les cours de yoga et de meditation. J'ai adoré les cours de yoga philosophie cela me paraît un préalable nécessaire à la pratique du yoga. Les repas étaient très bien cuisinés avec une mention spéciale pour les petits déjeuner très frais.
Toute l'équipe à été aux petits soins pour moi. Je pense y retourner en octobre prochain. Un grand merci à Vaibav pour sa grande disponibilité et gentillesse.

A wonderful place to feel like home and experience yoga
At Yoganandham I felt like home right away. The whole team took really good care of us - yoga, meditation, food, culture... You get the chance to learn and improve your yoga skills as well as experience the amazing Indian culture first-hand. And all of that for a very fair price! For the outing on Saturday the owner gave us a tour through Rishikesh and showed us some great places to eat/shop. He even invited us into his home where we could have refreshments, take rest and meet his wonderful family. In the evening we got to experience the Ganga Arti and had a great meal in a restaurant. My favourite day was Holi, when Vaibhav first took us to Rishikesh for the street fun (it was so amazing!!) and then we got to take part in a traditional family picknick including a delicious meal and a bath in the Ganga. They're a wonderful team, you can tell they really care and do everything they can to make your stay even better. The yoga, meditation and philosophy lessons were great as well, you learn a lot about yourself and get to test your limits. I highly recommend Yoganandham! :-)

One week retreat stay feedback
I stayed here for a week and my experience was excellent and it was because of the people and services offered. The people here right from the owner to the staff are very welcoming and very nice and polite. They treat everyone like family and there was no element of corporate touch in their behaviour. This was the first such place where people were not focused on money but on improving the overall health and enriching the experience of the guests. Their chef Kapil made delicious food and was so polite and helpful and would go above and beyond to help me. The owners Manish Sir and his wife Tanvi mam were very welcoming and extremely knowledgeable in their own respective fields of yoga and ayurveda. In one week I have learnt so much from them which would help me improve my overall health. Vaibhav sir not only helped me with praanaayaam but also for the first time under his guidance I could learn how to meditate.
Overall I loved my stay here and would definitely visit it again plus now Tanvi mam is my ayurvedic consultant so I am sure I would be in touch with her in future as well.

Upon arriving at the school, I was greeted with a warm welcome, and was immediately made to feel like family. My room was clean and comfortable, I was able to receive clean sheets, towels, soap and toilet tissue as needed. The food was completely amazing! The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were all comfortable. On the night of arrival, the owner Manish was celebrating his wedding anniversary, we were all included.. such a beautiful and kind gesture. We were also lucky enough to spend Diwali with the guys at Yoganandham! They embraced us with their beautiful culture and so much love. The Gurus at Yoganandham are beyond exceptional with regards to their knowledge and teachings. I enjoyed every moment of our 4 week journey and I will forever hold a special place in my heart for the whole team.
The surrounding area is completely safe, and there are many stores within walking distance to grab any essential that you could possibly need except for nail polish!! 🙃 There are also many cafes, restaurants, organic stores etc;)
It’s easy to jump in to a tuk tuk from just about anywhere and the market and river are just a short walk.
*If your looking for a life changing experience immersed in culture, love & beautiful sacred teachings then this is the program for you!

Ontzettend fijne plek met lieve mensen. instructeurs helpen je goed om alles uit te leggen. De ashram ligt buiten het drukke Rishikesh; heel fijn! Het eten was heerlijk met vrijwel iedere ochtend verse fruitshake. De kamer was prima; niet heel bijzonder maar je krijgt waar voor je geld.

I had a wonderful time completing the 200hr Teacher training course at Yoganandham. The teachers and staff were awesome and very helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate me and make me feel welcomed. Definitely a great experience, from the location, to the training, to the food.
I went without much previous knowledge of yoga, and learned so much it will take a while to digest it all. Great place for a retreat or Teacher training.

If this is your first time in Rishikesh, or India then this school is a perfect place to find your bearings. The staff are very accommodating to individual needs and always ready to help. There were activities every Sunday to keep you occupied on your day off. This also allowes one to have a greater understanding of the local area.
If you’re looking for an overall introduction into yoga and philosophy then this is the place to do it.
The school is part of an ashram , so the accommodation is basic but clean. The location was loca in tapovan, more chilled than rishikesh but not too far away to go to a puja ceremony if wanted.
The physical asanas classes were three times a day- a morning session with manish, an afternoon ‘stretching’ class with kamal (more like yoga conditioning), and an evening ashtanga class (appropriately adapted to the needs of the group). During the course that I attend, it felt like that there was a repetition a number of asanas and a focus on using surya namaskar series. I’m not sure whether this was due to the type of Hatha practised by the school (Bihar school of yoga) or to prepare the students as we had a variety of levels. Each teacher Has been teaching and practising yoga for a long time and overall I enjoyed the traditional yoga asana sessions. Thank you!
