Hiking Retreat in Sri Lanka
This 2-day retreat is an overnight adventure to Knuckles and Meemure village with camping. The Meemure Village camp offers guests an opportunity to experience what it is like to live in the ancient isolated village of Meemure. The village is situated deep in the Knuckles Wilderness, where the local people have maintained their traditional and cultural attitudes towards the forest’s existence. During your two days stay at Meemure, you can experience the real traditional lifestyle along with some adventure.

Programma
Itinerary
Day 1
- 05:00 You will be picked up from your hotel in Kandy and transferred to Hunnasgiriya where you will meet your nature guide and start a memorable ride to Meemure village
- 06:00 Arrive at Hunnasgiriya where your first part of the adventure begins at 1,000 meters above sea level. You will explore the hill country attractions including some old tea estates and remaining of the villages that were occupied by the tea estate workers during the colonial era
- 08:00 Your journey will continue to South Rang Office of Knuckles which is a scenic place with an educational value. Passing well-grown pine estates and graceful waterfalls, you will reach Corbett gap
- 08:40 After collecting memorable photographs of the nature, you will arrive at the campsite for breakfast
- 10:00 You will start your nature expedition to Meemure village with your guide. During this tour, you will experience some water activities with fun and explore the authenticity of the Meemrure Village and the traditions of the village people
- 13:30 You will experience a traditional Sri Lankan lunch at a village house
- 15:00 After sharing the experience of the village people, you will start your journey back to the campsite
- 16:00 Arrive at the campsite for evening tea. After tea, you will relax and enjoy the pleasure of the surrounding environment
- 19:00 Sit closer to the bonfire and enjoy the BBQ dinner
- Spend the overnight at the campsite
Day 2
- 08:30 After breakfast, you will do river base trekking to seven waterfalls with 3 water activities
- 12:00 Return to the campsite for lunch
- 13:30 Check out from the campsite and proceed to the location where you will start another memorable trekking tour to mini worlds' end
- 17:00 You will arrive at Hunnasgiriya where you will meet your driver who will drop you at Kandy city or at the hotel you plan to stay overnight

Please arrange your flight to arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB). Airport transfers are available at additional cost:

Pick up and drop off from a hotel in Kandy is included in the package. Roundtrip transportation is available from most centrally located Kandy hotels.
