This May I pend three days with Pille on a yoga- hiking retreat.

What a perfect combination

The dept and mindfulness, relaxing and coming-home feeling was so present in both activities.

They balanced and added to eachother perfectly.

Pille is a very kind, attentie guide in both.

Yoga was a mix of energizing and relaxing sessions.

In a beautifull shala.

The hikes, even though the weather was wet and windy,were amazing.

Molde is a perfect starting point to explore the beautifull mystifying grandness of Norways fjords.

An unforgetable experience!

Our instructor, Pille, made sure that everyone in the group felt connected from the very first moment. She created a very safe environment for us to tackle all the hikes, from the easiest to the most challenging ones. Each hike offered stunning views, and every day brought a unique experience. Yoga classes were very good, also the Yoga space for the classes. The hotel accommodations were very comfortable and clean, and the food was good as well. The entire group shared the same mindset, looking for this exact type of experience, which made it truly unforgettable for me.

Brilliant mix of hiking and yoga

Norway is a beautiful country and this yoga and hiking retreat in Molde is a lovely way to explore it. The program is nicely structured to keep you just busy enough with lots of free time as well. Pille’s instruction is lovely, particularly the relaxing afternoon sessions. I like how Pille offered different hiking options depending how much people wanted to do.

Top tips: Come in mid June for the long daylight; try the orange cinnamon buns at bakery by the studio and come early to kayak on the fjord.

Another wonderful trip to Norway !!

Amazing yoga and hiking combo

Booking the retreat I had no idea what to expect. This week exceeded my expectations. Not only was the yoga very diverse and to everyone’s level, but the hiking also was amazing. Pille went out of her way to drive us to amazing hiking spots. The town itself is small and very walkable. Nice seafront and swimming possibilities. This retreat was very well organised and catered for. Pille made sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves. I certainly go back home relaxed, and full of energy.

Fantastic experience

Overall fantastic experience. Great organization, delicious food, challenging and relaxing yoga lessons with different teachers and breathtaking hikes.

Pille was a fantastic host. She shared hikes with us that I wouldn't have found by myself. I was able to shut off completly and found myself in a fantastic bubble of just hiking and doing yoga with a group of like minded people.

Fantastic retreat in Molde

Very relaxing and empowering

A wonderful and relaxing retreat

Thanks to Pille, Jodi and everyone who attended the retreat, I had a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating week. The sun that wasn't shining in the sky shone through all those beautiful, joyful souls.

The yoga classes were great and far exceeded my expectations. I've been practising ashtanga and hatha yoga for years, and at this retreat I discovered yin yoga, which I loved. Moreover, the shavasana at the end of the practice was a moment of pure happiness and serenity with Pille's gentle, soothing voice, the smell of incense, the relaxing music and the sound of the Tibetan bowl. The memory of that moment is a pearl that I add to my necklace of the best moments of my life, helping me to get through the difficult times.

And to top it all off, Anne's cooking and Pille's sweets were pure delights for the senses, filling our hearts with joy.

Thank you Pille for your beautiful and caring soul, thank you Jodi for your joie de vivre and your kindness and thank you all for being so cheerful and friendly.

Wonderful retreat

This week was one of the best vacations in my life. A wonderful, well organized retreat.

The hikes were different and spectacular. Many climbs were rewarded with little dips in refreshing waters at the peaks.

Yoga and hiking retreat in 🇳🇴

I had a good time in my 7 days yoga and hiking retreat in Molde in 🇳🇴.

We did every day hike in different areas around Molde.

The 2 yoga classes a day been excellent.

Food was tasty vegetarian and deserts were divine.

I stayed in hotel for 7 days which been very convenient and comfortable the breakfast buffet had a large selection to choose from.

Unique hikes and yoga for everyone

The hikes are out of this world. Pille did a great job adapting the hikes to the weather. Longer, more challenging and great rewarding hikes when the weather is good. Shorter, flatter and more recovering hikes when the weather is against you.

It is also well communicated that you should listen to your own body instead of comparing yourself to the group as a whole. There is nothing wrong with skipping a yoga session or walk shorter during the hikes. The group won't judge you!

Pille was also very good at adapting the yoga to the different levels of the group. For me as a yoga beginner this was very helpful. An example of such an adaption could be alternative poses depending on strength and/or flexibility.

The food was great. I'm not a vegetarian myself but I feel like a trip like this should focus the menu on vegetarian food. Also, in case of meat crawings, there are plenty of stores nearby.

A big plus was the calm and quiet yoga studio. It was so lovely to do the evening recovery yogas in there!

Definitely recommended!

I loved the entire experience so much. The yoga was amazing and very well thought through; more active in the morning, more relaxing in the evening. I learned a lot from it as well. The studio itself is very calming and pleasant, best one I've seen so far. The food was delicious, I'm going to miss the wonderful meals in the evening and will try to recreate them ;-). And best of all: the hikes. I knew Norway would be beautiful, but could never have imagined just how beautiful. Pille knew what hikes would be best for each weather type and showed us a lot of diversity in landscapes and sights. I also loved not having to think about my daily schedule for a week - Pille was on top of the schedule and making sure everything went as planned, which couldn't have been easy in a busy group like ours ;-) Pille and Teresa were both very friendly and welcoming, so all in all I must say it was one of the most memorable and wonderful weeks of my life. I'm very grateful for the experience and already miss everyone dearly. Thank you so much! I hope to come back in the future :-)

A great hike experience

This retreat could be described as a hike retreat with restorative yoga in the morning and evening as a tool to recharge the body. As someone who is moderately active, this hike was perfect. Enough balance of challenge and relaxation. I loved staying at Thon Hotel, Molde. The restaurant for breakfast was wonderful and its location perfect. Our evening dinners cooked by Pille and her team were delicious. The yoga studio was fab, with all its extra props, incense and music. The hikes were so much fun. I had never really hiked until this trip, so I will always have fond memories of my first real experience in Molde. Highly reccommend the trip for those who want to get outside in the fresh Norweigen air, meet new like minded people, and practice restorative yoga.

Beautiful Location, Description of Retreat NOT Accurate

The location of the Chilkat Inland Retreat was amazing and like nothing I have ever seen. It is a magical place. You'll enjoy Bald Eagles, Seals, Ravens, Orca, and beautiful ocean and mountain views. The yurts are cute and clean and the food from locals Susie and Via was fresh and delicious. Only 2 hikes were offered, but they were beautiful. Excursions of kayaking and biking, which are not included or set up by the organizer, were fun. You will have to set these up on your own. One thing that is not mentioned in the description- DOUBLE occupancy yurts have 1 queen bed and a single fold out chair. You may be bunking in very close quarters, in one bed, with someone you have never met before. A single yurt is worth the extra cost.

Experience of a lifetime!!

This experience was truly incredible. The location was outstanding, even better than the pictures. It was a perfect blend of yoga and hiking. The food was prepared by two amazing chefs, so so yummy! Our instructor, Leonie, was terrific. She made everyone feel at home, and did all she could to flex to everyone’s various needs throughout the trip. If you get the chance to do this, go for it!! You will not regret it. Spectacular trip, could not recommend enough.

7 Day Yoga Retreat and Hiking Adventure that was 5.5 days

The location was absolutely stunning. The charming property is on the fjord across from majestic glaciers and mountains and the yurts were spacious and comfortable. The food was outstanding - catered by two local women Via and Susie. Fresh local ingredients and fish were part of a healthy meal plan for the week.

A life changing experience!

Pille is an amazing human and she has been an inspiration to me and became a good friend. She always smiles and has an authentic character and is full of positivism. My first yoga retreat

This was my first yoga retreat which started off with my luggage not arriving at the airport with me, however Pille was very helpful and took me to the airport the next day to collect my bag.

Each day started with a yoga class and then breakfast which helped prepare us for the days hiking ahead. The hikes were challenging and will take you to the edge of your abilities but the reward is such beautiful scenery. It was difficult to decide which hike was the best as each one made the choice so difficult. One day the clouds ⛅️ are close to the mountain top, 360 degree views, really steep climbs, underground caves or simply to swim in rivers or in the sea. At the end of the day we had restorative yoga after the hiking which makes such a difference to your recovery. Pille is the perfect host and the food was delicious and great choice. I was also lucky to enjoy such great weather but also a small group which brought us all closer together and Pille is great at making everybody feel welcome and included. I would not hesitate to book this retreat again.

Can't wait till next time...

First off, I love Pille. What a wonderful person, with amazing energy. She is so accepting and accommodating, you can tell she really wants everyone to have the best experience. We were fortunate enough to have her daughter as our chef, the food was amazing, and I loved Maria too. It made the atmosphere so home-like and organic.

I'm also not a yogi, but really enjoyed all of it. I have some joint issues and Pille made all pose very comfortable for me, and always gave everyone modifications.

The hiking was phenomenal. It was challenging because it was steep, not far, but steep, so the down was quite hard. However, I never felt rushed and Pille is there the whole time with a smile and helping hand.

I also stayed at the hotel, and had very nice accommodations, I had to walk to yoga and meals but it was very nice just to breathe in the clean air.

Norway adventure!

Pille was really kind to meet me at the bus station and take me to her apartment and get settled in, in a newly decorated bright and airy room. The bedroom was fresh and comfortable with plenty of storage.

It was really nice to be welcomed to the yoga classes at a studio in town and also at Pille's apartment where one room serves as a calm and relaxing yoga space, which quickly converts to dining room for shared healthy breakfast and some more typical Norwegian food too.

The location of Molde has a fantastic panorama over to more than 200 peaks. What a view!

Relaxed atmosphere in beautiful surroundings

The variety of hiking was excellent, the hikes themselves were fantastic. I had noticable improvement in my yoga practice - the morning sessions were great. The restorative sessions worked a treat as I didn’t find myself too achy the morning after full days of exercise. Pille was very kind and humble, and a very interesting person to learn from. Yoga and Hiking in a place of stunning natural beauty

For me the highlight of this retreat was the hiking, because of the stunning natural beauty of this place. It's so uplifting. The hikes are not for the faint-hearted, being quite challenging in places, but that just increases the sense of achievement when you get to the top of a mountain and experience the incredible views. If the weather had been better I would have hiked every day.

Pille was patient with everybody and paced the hikes nicely so that there was time to enjoy the surroundings.

The morning yoga sessions focused strongly on hip openers, leg strengtheners and core work, which was perfect in preparation for hiking. Pille paced the classes well and was very attentive in ensuring that we were all comfortable during relaxation. Restorative yoga really helped to ease my muscles at the end of the day and was very calming, if a challenge for me to keep still!

We were a small group of four strangers, from diverse backgrounds, but we really clicked and I really enjoyed spending time with such lovely, interesting people.

Pille's demonstration of how easy it is to make raw chocolate was great and something I will definitely try at home.

The apartment was clean and well equipped and very close to the yoga studio.

Overall this is a great experience at a budget price and I really appreciated the opportunity to spend a week in such a beautiful place, with such nice people.

Voyage au pays des Fjords

Molde et ses environs est certainement un lieu qu'il faut découvrir; les randonnées sont bien calibrées et les paysages sont superbes quand on a la chance d'avoir un temps clément et ensoleillé. La combination avec le yoga le matin puis également après la randonnée est vraiment adéquate pour récupérer d'une journée qui a sollicité le physique. Les repas du matins et du soir étaient bons, de qualité et copieux. Enfin, l'organisatrice Pille est très sympathique et ne ménage pas son énergie pour que tout se passe pour le mieux, elle est a l'écoute de tous.

An amazing week.

Wonderful yoga, amazing scenery and hiking, healthy food and Pille is inspiring. I went on this trip looking to get a balance of yoga and mindfulness, and an opportunity to do some relatively challenging hiking, and it delivered. I stayed at the hotel which worked well for me, as I wanted some “me time” in the evenings after a full activity day. I will re-do the trip in 2019 and am already looking forward to it. Just love it

We experienced an wonderful week in Molde. Pille is an amazing yoga instructor, at the same time, an excellent organizer and a very good guid. She adjusted the hiking schedule according to the weather conditions, so no matter what the weather was, we could always enjoy the hikes. Every places we visited is different from the others and they are just beautiful. The dinner is a happy surprise. It supposed the prices includes the breakfast and lunch, but when we were there, Pille also included the dinners into the costs. We had a very lovely French couple who cooked for us everyday, and the foods are amazing!

Perfect Combination of Yoga and Hiking

I enjoyed the variety in both the hikes and the yoga. Everyday was different and you could tell Pille put a lot of thought put into how the yoga and the hikes paired together. The best experience in a while

Everything about the retreat and the overall experience was amazing, from the wonderful accommodation that Pille booked for us, to the healthy and delicious food and of course the long yoga sessions every day and hikes.. I had never hiked before, and I'm quite a beginner in yoga too, but I didn't feel any pressure - it was getting more and more challenging every day, but not too much :) . Pille was amazing, being always there if you needed her, but leaving you your spaces at the same time. I loved the inhomogeneity of the group in terms of both culture and age, and the feeling of being a whole big family for a week. Spending this week with so many amazing, like-minded people was a deep, exciting and wonderful experience! :)

Great experience!

Rare opportunity too enjoy hiking in Norway coupled with yoga (I was more attracted with the location - Norway - and hiking around yoga classes)

The hikes were amazing - some of the most beautiful sites in Norway

Loved the food - excellent dinners

Overall good value for money - for Norway!

Pille does it all: she is a yoga instructor, hike leader, tour guide and (sometimes) cook. She really makes you feel welcome and makes you feel like you are personally looked after from the moment she meets you at the airport. Considering the different skill and experience levels of the participants, Pille made sure that everybody was able to "build their own adventure". The food was excellent, the yoga was varied, the hiking was enjoyable (in all weather conditions), and we were a diverse group of participants. The days are full, but that's what I wanted. To be clear, the hiking is not technical, but still we were climbing mountains -- that is, several hundred meters of elevation gain to the summit. Again, it was what I expected, but not everybody came with the same understanding.

Full and active program in beautiful Molde

Pille has a great energi and is a skilled and caring yoga instructor and is justa lovely person. The food was excellent and I really liked the family like feeling that blossomed within the group. I liked that all meals were shared together in one if the flats... that made it very homesey. The hikes were so so so beautiful, if maybe a little too challenging for me personally since I am not in very good shape. I survived though and really feel proud now for having done it all. All in all a week that has made me stronger, healthier and more positive and it was a week that gave me new friendships. Will never forget it.

Magic on the Mountain

I am so grateful to have had such an incredible experience with Pille as our yoga instructor and hiking guide. She has created the retreat with such care and thoughtfulness that you are truly being taken into her world of wonder. The yoga is a perfect balance to all of the hiking, the food was beautifully prepared and the magnificent hikes we went on had breathtaking views. Incredible Molde trip

I could not recommend this trip enough! Prepare to be astounded by Moldes beauty that is literally everywhere you turn. Pille was an incredible host has a true genuine passion for Norway, hiking and yoga, and you can’t help not wanting to leave! The accommodation was good, the schedule was flexible if you wanted it to be, the food sensational and the company you meet- awe inspiring and simply life changing. I went solo on this trip and the sense of community that very quickly develops very on this trip made you feel very much part of a family. GO on this trip. You won’t regret it!

Awesome hikes in lovely Molde

The hikes were awesome! Pille did a great job at discovering very beautiful tracks and put together a great plan: good mix of tracks, always different scenery and every day becomes better and better!! As a plus, the mountains you see are really cool, but the hikes are not too tricky (of course some are a bit demanding, but there are no scary parts and are not extremely long). Also, Pille organized groups of different speeds so that no one would feel pushed to hike faster than s/he wanted. I also loved yoga after hiking: I usually get sore muscles, but this week I almost did not!! In sum.. I loved this retreat and if you love hiking and yoga you should definitely go!!!

Amazing and breathtakingly beautiful

Pille is a great yoga teacher, hiking guide and fantastic woman. Having lunch on the mountains each day while being surround by breathtaking views was something I've never experienced before, and I'll never forget. The daily schedule was perfect and having the flexibility to change it meant we could tailor it to our liking and rest when it was needed.

I feel fortunate to have shared such a memorable experience with everyone in my group and have left making some lifelong friends.

Discover Norway

Wonderful experience

The program offered exciting hikes in beautiful nature, some of them more challenging than the others, balanced with energizing and nourishing Yoga classes in the mornings and afternoons. The accommodation was very good, the organization of all activities was smooth, Pille Mitt was opened for suggestions given from the group and flexible regarding the plan. There was a very nice community feeling in the group, we were preparing the breakfast together, doing the clean up afterwards, making lunch packages for the hikes... the dinner was great! We had the pleasure to eat the super delicious food cooked by Eva :)... in short - taking the retreat with Pille was one of the best decisions I've made as it turned out to be one of the best experiences I've ever had.

Wonderful mountains bookended by relaxing yoga!

The scenery around Molde is some of the most amazing I have seen anywhere - a wonderful mixture of sea, mountains, and beautiful architecture. The retreat location was perfect to take advantage of this, with diverse and spectacular hikes only a very short drive (or even walk) away. Pille made a great effort to make sure we saw a fantastic sample of the area, and that everyone's hiking capabilities were accommodated.

Yoga in Norway

Excellent, professional yoga classes and hikes with amazing scenery. Though you have guidance, you can opt for walking in your own rhythm and enjoy nature.

The vegan food is fantastic and if you are a meat eater, you can choose to eat somewhere else else in town as food is not in the package.

Perfect organization of 7 wonderful days!

The accommodation was fine and cozy - I shared a local's house (and a car) with 4 lovely people. The Yoga studio and the cafe, where we had our breakfast, were well located to reach easily and fast.

It was also great to spent the evenings with the whole group preparing and having dinner together.

The hiking trips were my personal highlight - especially the one to the Romsdalseggen ridge.

Both during the Yoga classes and the hiking trips I felt always comfortable and in good hands. The restorative Yoga classes were amazing and perfect after the long walks and hikes.

Altogether - it was my best experience this year! And Pille - and also the sweet people around her, who supported her and us - you are an admirable and lovely person! I hope to come back and meet you again one day :-) Love you all!

Excellent retreat in beautiful Norway.

I really enjoyed everything about this retreat. Great people and lots of outdoor activity with some much needed yoga to help keep us from getting too stiff!

Pille took us to some amazing parts of Norway and we definitely got to experience far more than I would have had I tried to plan all the hikes myself- I don't think I would have been able to find most of them anyway!

Pille was warm and welcoming, as was her daughter Maria who was with us for the majority of the trip. The group of people on this trip were also incredibly warm and friendly which made it even better.

I would definitely recommend this retreat to anybody!

Wonderful experience

perfect for a wandered and yogi at all levels

Pille hosted the entire week and a definite highlight is her experience of all the hiking routes and contacts in the area. Pille has been living in the area for 5 years so helped us experience the area like a local.

Unexpectedly a few of us went on a morning fishing trip with a local fisherman and we took a boat trip to an amazing local island. Actuvities that can only be experience for by those "in the know".

Each hiking trip offered adventure and physical challenges for hikers of all levels. Different routes were offered for all to enjoy, each location was beautiful. The yoga sessions were not the same style everyday but was a great selection for preparation for the day ahead or wind down for the hours of hiking before.

One thing to note - the accommodation. It isn't a room in a local family home. You do not accommodate a room with a family. It is shared accomodation (with a private room) with others on the retreat but is leased out by a local. We had a great place with a terrace facing the water and mountains and all rooms were double bed sized. This again was a great unexpected bonus.

Fantastic retreat. Fantastic location. Fantastic people.

This retreat was simply fantastic, it exceeded my expectations. We had great weather for the time of year, which we took full advantage of by flexing the schedule.

My expectation for this trip was that it would be an activity packed, no frills, participation required retreat with like-minded people. I got that and a little extra.

Pille arranged for us to stay in a locals' home. I shared a house with 4 other people and we had a blast. We really bonded on this trip which, as far as experiences go, is more than I could ask for. The people I met made this trip unforgettable.

Food was good, breakfast was amazing. This is not the kind of the retreat where a chef prepares your food and that's reflected in the price.

Pille has a very personal hosting style. We even ate dinner at her house one day. Her daughter joined us for hikes and to help with cooking. I feel like I got a very authentic experience. Far more so than had I planned my own trip.

I came in with no hiking experience but by day three I felt comfortable enough to do the Romsdaglseggen hike. I came in with good health and a fit body so that really helped.

If you're reading this and wondering if you'll be able to do it: I practice Ashtanga yoga six days a week, no hiking experience and this trip was totally doable for me.
