Yoga Siromani Maheshwaranandha
“Yoga Siromani” Sri. Maheshwaranandha is a versatile person who is naturally born to donate his entire life to the yoga for research and teaching purpose of the community. He trained nearly 1000 students. He got the Best Yoga Teacher Award – Tamilnadu Sports Yogasana Association in 2018. He was the Jury in the International Yoga Festival 2016 and 2017 by the Government of Pondicherry. He is organising many yoga travels, vacations, and yoga retreats. He successfully treated more than 500 peoples from addiction by his special de-addiction technique.
Dr. Sunder Raman
Dr. Sunder Raman BNYS is a young and talented yoga and naturopathy doctor who finished his doctorate in 2016 in JSS college of naturopathy and yogic science - Coimbatore. He is a gold medalist in three of his subject. He is an expert in teaching kriyas and asanas. He started doing his research in yoga. In 2017, he is the jury in the inter school competition yoga conducted by SANCYA. He treated nearly 200 patients who suffered from obesity, diabetes, hypertension, hemiplegia, and kidney failure only through yoga and naturopathy. Now he is serving in SANCYA as a medical officer.
Sadha Kannan
Dr. K. SADHAKANNAN is the founder and chief medical officer of Sri Anandhi Nature Cure and Yoga Ashram, Villupuram district in Tamil Nadu. He obtained his Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic sciences (B.N.Y.S) degree from JSS Institute of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences, affiliated under the T.N. DR. M.G.R. Medical university, Tamil Nadu.With 12 years of clinical experience, he served in various naturopatic centres. He treated more than 1500 chronic disorder patients such as kidney failure, hemiplegia, insulin dependence, diabetis, psoriasis, hypertension, etc.

Great introduction to yoga
Lots of asana, breathwork and meditation classes. The team are very hospitable and can adapt the programme to suit your needs. They also hold a free camp on Sundays for the local community.

Amazing retreat
The retreat was simply amazing and they managed to get me back in shape mentally and physically in only three days. The doctor who took care of me was kind and well prepared. Good experiences for a healthy life
The yoga training program was implemented systematically from simple steps. There was a good plan. Although I was the only one who participated in the training, Dr.Jayasangari and Dr.Nivetha who acted as my trainers, carried out the training with dedication and that should be appreciated.

Not as advertised at all
The guy who did not speak English and did the cooking was nice and kind. The food we were given wasn’t bad , it tasted good but it is just not as advertised at all and not what you want when expecting healthy satvic food and give heavy meals
The owner spoke to us after we complained about the food to try and resolve the issues so we spoke and he said we will get a fruit plate like advertised for breakfast but it ended up just as a plate of grapes not like the variety and colourful imagines of fruit and veg shown, so I left after 2 nights because nothing was able to save this ‘retreat’.

I have never been taken care of at this level before, despite staying in some fine resorts/ places all over the world.
Very tasty and healthy food. Genuine care and love from everyone; from the cleaning lady, the the junior doctors, mid range doctors and senior staff. A restorative bliss in the middle of unspoiled nature. A mind and body reset. Leaving with a significant weight loss as a bonus

It is an Ashram out in the green outskirt of Pondicherry. The teaching is excellent in the way of what really works. Dont search there for only theoretics. If you like to get changed some habits, there you have the perfect field. The beauty of it its enroling after a couple of days doing the whole day program. Those who only like to going for looking and picking what they like, they will propably be disappointed.

I can only recommend to come here, the people are so caring helpful, educated. Yoga and Naturopathy teacher Dr. Jayam so smart, positive and friendly, she made the stay to be unforgettable. But all the doctors and staff were amazing. Private clean comfy room, very comfortable bed, I had no back pain. Private bathroom in the room, the surrounding is green and soothing for the soul. And the food! Morning and evening we got amazing healthy warm meal, and for luch it was raw fruit or vegetables. Well balanced diet. I even extended my stay because 7 days were not enough for me. Simple peaceful place with very friendly staff, great value!
Sancya was my first long ashram experience. At first it looked somewhat humble as they are currently building up their structure, but then the rooms were already very well equipped and their young staff more than made up for it. I felt very welcomed from start to finish (Mr Sadha picked me up from Auroville, 20km away, and Dr Sunder dropped me off at downtown Pondicherry), and together with kind and polite Jayalakshmi they took good care of me and my colleagues (they even took one of us to hospital a few times to care for a minor skin issue she had). I was presented to an array of cleansing techniques, basic yoga theory and a holistic approach to health on a daily basis. The food includes lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and is amongst the best vegetarian meals I've ever had. They kept our schedule filled from 6am to 6pm with activities and I learned so much by practising everything on myself. The 2-day fasting was a breakthrough, I'd never have made it alone. All in all I had an unforgettable time at Sancya. They seem to really live what they teach. Thank you so much Dr Sadha and your engrossing team for the many lessons and for making us feel amongst friends and family. Keep up the great work.

The classes were well instructed and clear to follow.
The theory sessions are really interesting and helpful.
The food is amazing, can't fault it, im not a high spice fan and it wasn't like that at all. They ask if the spice is OK for you so can be altered :)

The Best Retreat among all the retreats I had so far
The doctors here are most godly people. Very caring, accommodating, knowledgeable, giving away, and always smiling. They took care of every small need and showered lot of love and genuine service. The program itself is so good. Theory. Yoga, pranayama, and health topics were all coming from very knowledgeable doctors. It is all win win yoga retreat.

Relaxed and spiritual experience
Both instructors were great for theory and for practice. We learnt so much in these two days with 4 yoga sessions and 2 theory sessions per day. We also liked the program of eating and drinking according to naturotheraphy. It was simple South Indian food and we felt very cleansed. The house had large bedroom areas with own showers and restrooms. It was surrounded by ancient bamboo trees.
The instructors were polite, forgiving and helpful for the yoga exercises and to learn in detail the theory behind yoga was fascinating.
Eating surrounded by bamboo trees was a highlight! The banana wrap steam bath in the banana plantation area was remarkable!
SANCYA organized the taxi pick-up at Chennai airport perfectly and added a third morning where we were taken to Auroville for the morning and very helpfully dropped us off at our next hotel in Puducherry.
The retreat had recently started construction of the swimming pool and other outdoor facilities which of course meant dust and rubble. But once inside the property everything was very clean and spacious.
Some improvements: it is a lot to learn with many types of Asanas so in the yoga sessions room perhaps the Asanas to be done in the session could be written on a blackboard - as could the chants.

Review on a week-long retreat
They are very systematic and conducted timely events. Good to relax with good programs. People are nice and food is on time. Felt good after staying for a week. All yoga classes are excellent. I wish I learnt all these techniques earlier in my life.

Yoga Retreat with Great Individual Attention!
I searched many retreats before deciding on SANCYA. I choose SANCYA because with my health concerns that I needed to be in a setting were I could work on those, asking questions of a doctor, as well as do the normal retreat yoga schedule. This retreat far exceeded my expectations. Dr. Sunder and Dr. Abhi gave me the highest quality of care. They called a person to do my blood work(extra charge). Then with the eating schedule and diet they taught us, I have been able to adjust my eating habits to work to resolve the readings in my blood work. This was very specialized to me as no one else in our small group needed this attention.
The yoga classes were great and all of us were always excited and eager to attend. I found the fact that we did Pranayama and Nidra daily extremely helpful because I also suffer from low energy and insomnia. Doing both these things for 10 days gave me the insight into how helpful these practices are for low so I have incorporated them into my daily practice as well. Last night I did Nidra before bed and slept like a baby. There is also therapies daily: mud pack, acupuncture/massage/steam bath.
The most favorite thing of all the therapies was the Banana Leaf Sauna. I did two days of guided fasting with lemon and honey brought to me on a schedule.
This place attracts a high caliber of guests and my mates rocked!

My health is transformed. I feel so good, I booked here for YTT in February.

Amazing yoga experience
My favourite part of this retreat was all the different experiences we got to live. The daily yoga sessions were great, I have not previous experience from yoga but I developed and the teachers were very patient and educational. If there was poses you found hard they would always adjust, and make everyone feel they mastered class. The classes had a lot of variation and I really learned new things every day. The naturopathy sensations were excellent for relaxing and taking care of yourself. We got to experience daily treatments that really helped my health, especially my back and neck pain. Examples of treatments was massages, mud therapy, acupuncture, steam baths and banana leaf baths, all done very professionally with respect and care.
I enjoyed my stay and wish I could extend, I have gained so much new knowledge about how to improve my health both physically and mentally that I will take with me home, and I will for sure come back.

One of the best experiences
I didn’t know what to expect when booking this, but the experience was fantastic! It is a healing ashram where you have yoga and meditation everyday, combined with different naturopathy treatments like acupuncture, massage and steam baths. The food is some of the best indian food I have had and all home cooked and healthy. The instructors and the doctors where fantastic, friendly and supportive. It was one the best places I have been, and thanks a lot to Abby, Sunder and Kali - you are great people and I hope to come back!!

Life changing experience that made me become moreenlightened
I absolutely loved the calm environment and garden with the dogs that had new born puppies and the peacefulness of the location. The food was very nutritious and I normally don’t eat too healthy, so it changed my palette/cravings and the way I want to continue to eat now. The body detoxes and daily yoga really helped me feel raw and healthy again instead of feeling clogged up internally. My mind really had the opportunity to become clear and focused with my life goals and my purpose while being here. The schedule wasn’t too demanding or hard to follow, it was just right and they are very flexible with your schedule. The doctors made the effort to personalize my experience based on what I was looking to gain out of the retreat. They were so helpful with anything I needed and the added excursions were so much fun. The mud baths and other activities in nature made the experience very real and refreshing. Between the theory classes, different yogas, personal talks, and food, I felt like each day there was something new and exciting to look forward to. I don’t know why I chose this ashram out of all of the options in Tamil Nadu,but I’m very glad I did because of the people here. It was an unforgettable experience that I had learned so many good take aways. I would always write down the things I learned each day in my room because they just have very valuable life lessons and advice to give too. I would highly recommend this Ashram if you’re looking to relax and to find yourself <3

Quality Yoga and Naturopathy Retreat with excellent content
The Yoga sessions (3 per day) were tailored to suit our needs and capabilities. They were conducted by excellent teachers who were well qualified and competent. The Naturopathy sessions (both theory and practice) were very informative and educational. We experienced a range of baths (hip, spine, steam, banana leaf and mud) and they were all done professionally with care and respect. We also had a Swedish back massage. The daily Acupuncture sessions were very beneficial to my wife and myself. Overall we enjoyed our week, learned lots of new ways to improve our health naturally and felt at home with the care shown to us by all the staff. It was a rewarding experience.

" Wonderful friendly retreat "
The Doctors and staffs are very simple, friendly, and experienced. The facilities are basic but at the sametime every details are looked after. " you feel like you are really being taken care of ",I enjoyed the different yoga teachers and also the environment.They are giving 3 options of meals,I selected the vegan diet. Superb Experience overall!!
I really appreciate all of them, they are really friendly, caring and loveable persons. Day starts with yoga class , followed by hydrotherapy ,mudtherapy , massage and acupuncture and ends with meditation.
This place is green helps for relaxing and calming. They provide healthy diet . I am impressed with care that they provide. I will definitely come back here .

THE BEST PLACE FOR YOGA AND NATUROPATHY
It was the best time in my life, I fell completely balanced, re-energized and satisfied. The location is very calm, green and pleasant, Stay was quiet normal and not magnificent but this is the perfect place to learn, practice and experience the yoga and yogic way of life. Their Naturopathy treatment was excellent, Food is pure, raw, organic and farm fresh.

Better than expected...
This was my first time at a yoga retreat. Everything from the naturopathic treatment to the yoga classes were very good. The raw vegan food chosen from a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and juices was the highlight. The surroundings of the retreat are relaxing with its lush greenery and organic farm. The instructors and the staff are very courteous, friendly and at times went out of their way to be helpful
