Program
Day 1: Zagreb
Moto Tours Croatia will welcome guests at the airport in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. Depending on arrival time, sightseeing can be done or transfer made straight to the hotel. As the bikes will be waiting at the hotel parking lot, if a test ride cannot be resisted, Moto Tours Croatia will organize a nice short first ride, just to get friendly with the bikes. In the evening, the traditional welcome dinner will be enjoyed and routes, bikes, etc. can be discussed.
Day 2: Zagreb - Opatija, 170 miles (270 km)
The route will first head northwest just to make guests feel the spirit of Zagreb and Northern Croatia since there will not be other opportunities to visit it, as the journey will later head south, to warmer regions. The ride will pass through picturesque continental areas, stop for a coffee, take photos and create first impressions, all with the aim of reaching Istria on the first day in good spirits. Opatija – Ičići is the final destination for the day, followed by dinner and sightseeing of the city.
Day 3: Opatija - Plitvice lakes, 110 miles (180 km)
The second day on the road is reserved for one of the natural wonders of the Balkans, the Plitvice Lakes. They belong to the UNESCO world heritage. As there is not a busy day on the road, arrival at the hotel is planned as early as possible, so that the whole afternoon is available to visit this natural wonder of this part of Europe. At the end of the day, there will be just the right amount of energy left to have a walk in the old town.
Day 4: Plitvice lakes - Sarajevo, 200 miles (380 km)
Yesterday nature walking was enjoyed, today the day is enjoyed riding. Big 380 km to the capital in B&H, Sarajevo. A city of huge and great history.
Day 5: Rest day in Sarajevo city
Sarajevo will be experienced in the full sense. Famous center, Bascarsija, known for traditional food and manufactures. Sarajevo is one of the most visited cities in the Balkan region. So, must see destination.
Day 6: Sarajevo - Mostar, 140 miles (230 km)
The location changes, riding towards old city Mostar, visiting the Blidinje Nature Park. Lakes, rivers, and mountains are the backyard today. In the city of Mostar, the old bridge will be visited and dinner will be had in the old town.
Day 7: Mostar - NP Sutjeska, 160 miles (250 km)
NP Sutjeska, the oldest National Park of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the primeval forest. For a complete experience, only good weather is needed.
Day 8: NP Sutjeska - NP Durmitor, 125 miles (200 km)
How to describe today? Let’s say the adventure day. Today one national park is left and another is entered. At the same time, Montenegro is entered from B&H. Twisty and narrow roads, bridge above Tara river canyon, Piva Canyon, Sedlo Pass of Durmitor Mountain.
Day 9: NP Durmitor - Cavtat, 140 miles (220 km)
After the adventure through the mountains and canyons of Durmitor National Park, the ride will gently continue towards the south, towards the Montenegro coast. It is on the way to Croatia, the last part of the tour. The night will be spent in Cavtat, a medieval town in southern Dalmatia, which will be the base for visiting Dubrovnik the next day.
Day 10: Rest day at Dubrovnik
Day of rest and day for unforgettable city Dubrovnik.
Day 11: Cavtat - Peljesac peninsula - Split, 160 miles (260 km)
This is the favorite day… Pelješac. Just have a look at the pictures and everything will be clear as day… and if the weather allows it, and the sea is warm, having a swim in the stunning bays is a must. In Pelješac, a tour of the wine yards will be taken, riding through an impressive landscape. Today is a big ride since Split is the final destination. Depending on how much time will be spent on Peljesac, and there will be many reasons for that, maybe part of the highway will be used in order to reach the city of Split and have time to walk around the city, Diocletian’s Palace, dinner, and more.
Day 12: Split - NP Krka - Zadar, 150 miles (240 km)
One more adventure day is ahead. Mountains, rivers, old monasteries, national parks with beautiful lakes… and everything to end the day in the old city Zadar. It has to be seen and experienced. Although the day will be spent riding through the continental part of this region, all the way to Zadar, with every kilometer of this route a constant change of scenery and nature will be noticed. It is left to guests which impressions they wish to share over dinner.
Day 13: Day of rest in Zadar city
After breakfast, planning to show Kornati islands with a boat, or simply have a real rest day enjoying city Zadar. It will be fully up to each guest.
Day 14: Zadar - Zagreb, 190 miles (300 km)
The trip will end in style. Passing one of the most beautiful roads on the whole Adriatic, then climbing the Velebit mountain… scenes to remember. The last 150 km towards Zagreb will be ridden on Croatia highway A1. Maybe just right to think about the whole trip in peace before the final dinner which will be had all together in Zagreb.
Day 15: Breakfast in Zagreb and departure
Depending on the departure time, time can be spent accordingly. Transfers to the airport will be arranged. It is hoped that the trip has been enjoyed. At the end of the day-trip, new people will have been met and customs learned, perhaps a new friendship formed, or simply a return home with some amazing photos.
